Curtis Hall is holding a citation from the country of France given to all U.S. servicemen who helped liberate Paris during WWII. Hall was also in one of the first groups of soldiers to land on Normandy for the D Day invasion on June 6, 1944. The military photo behind him was taken when he was 18-years-old and it is leaning against his many bowling trophies. (Karen Schiely/Akron Beacon Journal)
