A Harter Avenue man, 25, was charged with aggravated menacing, tampering with evidence, carrying a concealed weapon and criminal trespass. Police said he pulled a gun on a person and tried to hide the weapon when police arrived. He was arrested at a North Arlington Street home.
A 21st Street Northwest woman told police that someone stole $505 in items from her purse on New Year’s Eve at her boyfriend’s home on West Park Avenue.
A woman tried to buy goods with a counterfeit $20 bill at Mustard Seed Market, 3885 Medina Road. She said the bill came from a Medina ATM.

A Wadsworth man, 38, was charged with theft, drug abuse and possessing stolen property Jan. 8 after he allegedly tried to steal $63 worth of goods from Walmart. The suspect’s car matched the description of a Chrysler stolen in Wadsworth. Authorities reported finding two syringes in the car.
A Brecksville man, 53, told police he left his wallet in a fitting room at Jos. A. Banks in Summit Mall. Someone charged $1,191 to his credit and bank cards. All of the charges were made at Target on West Market Street.

A Provens Drive man told police Dec. 21 that someone used his debit card number to make $1,613 in purchases at four Lowe’s stores and a Sunglass Hut in Pompano Beach, Fla.
A Messner Road man, 55, was charged with domestic violence Dec. 29 after he allegedly grabbed a woman when she tried to call for help.
A Columbine Drive man, 33, was charged with domestic violence Christmas Day after he allegedly assaulted his girlfriend.
A woman told police Jan. 8 that she was being blackmailed by a man who had a lot of personal information about her. She said she took money from her employer to pay the blackmailer. Her employer said the woman took $40,000 to $47,000. She said she took $10,000 to $15,000.
Someone stole a flat-screen television and cash, total value $900, from a Krumroy Road home Dec. 12.
Someone broke into a home Dec. 24 on Columbine Avenue and stole a TV and wallet, total value $1,270, and cashed a check for $250.

A Canton woman, 41, of Yale Avenue Northwest, was charged with domestic violence and obstructing official business Dec. 27 after a quarrel at the Fulton Drive Northwest home of a man, 62, who was arrested on a domestic violence warrant.
Someone broke into a Royer Avenue Northwest home Dec. 24 and stole $1,165 in items.
An Amsel Avenue Northeast man, 26, was charged with five felonies Dec. 31 after he allegedly grabbed a woman by the throat, struggled with deputies and pushed them down the steps. He also allegedly threatened to kill a deputy and his family. Charges included domestic violence, aggravated menacing, vandalism, assault, resisting arrest and disrupting public services.
A 37th Street Northwest woman, 19, was charged with domestic violence Jan. 2 after she allegedly punched her sister numerous times.
A Mason, Mich., truck driver told police Dec. 28 that someone stole his tandem, single-car hauler, total value $2,794, from the north lot of Clearwater Park on Hoover Avenue Northwest.
