Akron resident Carl Williams talks about the pink ribbons that will be distributed and used to mark burned out street lights as part of Akron's new Brighter the Better program, during the My Neighborhood Our Akron meeting at the Mason Park Community Learning Center on Thursday in Akron. The ribbons would identify the damaged lights so that FirstEnergy crews could repair them. (Ed Suba Jr./Akron Beacon Journal)
