Two Medina County motorcyclists were injured and taken to Akron General Medical Center after an accident on Saturday on Medina Road (state Route 18) in Copley Township.
Injured were Leonard E. Frame, 51, of Litchfield Township, and his passenger, Kathleen A. Frame, 49, said the Canton post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
The accident occurred about 2:35 p.m. at the intersection of state Route 18 and Brookmont Road.
The patrol said Frame lost control of the white 2012 Harley-Davidson Ultra Classic motorcycle and dropped the motorcycle onto its right side. Both riders were ejected from the motorcycle.
Frame was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, and Mrs. Frame had serious injuries, the patrol said.
Neither rider was wearing a helmet.
The patrol said alcohol and drugs did not appear to a factor in the crash.
The accident remains under investigation, although it is unclear what triggered the crash, the patrol said.
