Authorities said a Portage County man suffered serious injuries after he was beaten and held against his will Saturday in Kent.
The 31-year-old Garrettsville man told police that Jeff Goldbach, 40, physically assaulted him, causing serious facial injuries and a concussion at a residence in the 1100 block of Lake Street, police said.
Goldbach, who was arrested at the address where the alleged assault took place, was charged with felonious assault and kidnapping.
The victim was treated at a local hospital for his injuries.
Goldbach also has an active warrant issued against him in September in Stow for failure to appear on a charge of drug abuse and having drug paraphanalia, said Stow police Lt. Anne Stirm.
