Woman in revenge plot seeks dismissal of charge

By Associated Press

CHILTON, Wis.: Another of the four eastern Wisconsin women accused of seeking revenge on a cheating lover by luring him to a motel and tying him to a bed where he ended up with his penis glued to his stomach seeks dismissal of the charge.

Wendy Sewell of Kaukauna, who is charged with being party to felony false imprisonment in the July 30 incident, returns to court Monday for a motion hearing.

Court records say a 37-year-old man was romantically involved with three of the women — one of them his wife — and the fourth went to the Stockbridge motel to support her sister in the plot.

Last week, a Calumet County judge dismissed the false imprisonment charge against the wife. He ruled there was insufficient evidence to suggest she was present when her husband objected to being restrained.

If these four criminals were men they'd be rotting in jail right now. The double standard in this case is outrageous!
