Obituary: Phyllis Cottle, conqueror, friend and inspiration
In this 2009 file photo, Phyllis Cottle reflects on her encounter with Samuel Herring that left her in a burning car to die some years ago. She was notified in a letter by the State of Ohio Office of Victim Services that Herring's parole hearing was changed to August 2009 from 2014. Cottle died Friday she was 73.
