State's first Hole in the Wall camp to open in 2010

By Associated Press

CLEVELAND: Ohio is getting its first Hole in the Wall camp, a concept developed by actor and Ohio native Paul Newman for helping seriously ill children.

The camp will open in 2010 at Flying Horse Farms in Mount Gilead, about an hour's drive north of Columbus.

Newman, a Cleveland-area native and Kenyon College graduate, died last week at 83.

Flying Horse Farms spokeswoman Ruth Milligan said that last year Newman visited the 200-acre site, which includes a lake, woods and trails.

The camp will include a medical center and buildings devoted to aquatics, horseback riding, nature, arts and crafts and lodging for 120 children.
