Honey-carrying truck crash closes SW Ohio lanes

Associated Press

CINCINNATI: Southbound Interstate 71 lanes near the Ohio River have reopened after an accident involving a truck that was reportedly carrying honey.

Lanes were closed during the morning rush hour at Fort Washington Way, a major connector for motorists to get to the Brent Spence Bridge crossing to Kentucky.

The truck crash occurred at about 5 p.m. Wednesday, and traffic was re-routed.

WLWT reported that an officer on the scene blamed the difficulty on clearing up the accident on honey spilled from the truck.
