Ohio mom charged again after wandering child found

Associated Press

ELYRIA: Police say a woman in Ohio has been charged with child endangering for a second time in one week after her 3-year-old son was found wandering in a street.

Officers say the boy was found in the street on back-to-back days last week. They also say it’s the fourth time he’s been found wandering in the street since October.

Police in Elyria said Tuesday that the boy’s mother was arrested last Thursday after a woman found the boy walking down a street wearing shorts, a T-shirt and rubber boots.

Officers in the city outside Cleveland say the youngster was in the same street a day earlier.

The Plain Dealer newspaper in Cleveland reports the boy told police his name is “Trevor Trouble.”
