A pizza delivery driver ignored an armed robber’s demands, prompting the masked bandit to run off, police said.

The attempted robbery happened about 10:30 p.m. Saturday when a 26-year-old driver for Marco’s Pizza stopped for a delivery outside a house in the 900 block of Bloomfield Avenue.

The driver told police he immediately was confronted by the masked robber, who drew a handgun and demanded cash. The driver ran back to his car and drove away.

The robber fled empty-handed.

Police said the robber is black and in his early 20s. He wore black pants and a black hooded sweatshirt. Some dark material covered his face.
