Radio sports talker Tony Rizzo was found guilty Thursday of disorderly conduct stemming from his arrest following a domestic dispute with his wife late last year.
Rizzo, 52, of Medina, pleaded no contest to the misdemeanor charge during an appearance in Medina Municipal Court. He will be sentenced later after his case is reviewed by probation officials.
Rizzo is the host of The Really Big Show on WKNR radio, and hosts The Rizzo Show, which airs each Sunday on WJW.
He was originally arrested on a misdemeanor charge of domestic violence in December after his wife called 911 and told the dispatcher, “My husband is hurting me, and he’s very irate and I’m really scared.”
When asked if her husband was drunk, Rizzo’s wife reportedly said, “Yes, we’ve been drinking.”
