Cavs star breaks silence about defeat in Orlando

ORLANDO, FLA.:
Williams, who walked to the podium because LeBron James left the locker room quickly after the Cavs had been eliminated from the playoffs, went out of his way to thank the team's fans.
''I think they deserve a lot of credit for what they have done for us throughout the season, packing the Q, being as loud as they are, supporting us the way they do,'' Williams said.
He talked more, and as he talked, his voice quivered, and with each word, his eyes got redder and redder.
There was some kind of special bond between the Cavs and the fans this season. A loss in the Eastern Conference finals does not change that.
It was so special, it's hard to envision it being that strong again.
Which is where the other picture of the emotions of Saturday night comes in.
When the game ended, James took two quick looks around the court, then strode right to the locker room.
He shook no hands, greeted nobody except Oscar Robertson, standing in the tunnel so he could take part in the postgame ceremony.
The NBA prides itself on its sportsmanship, and one of the great sights for the league every year is when players shake hands and embrace after hard-fought series.
For the second year in a row, James walked off the court without shaking a single hand.
A year ago in Boston, he addressed the media.
On Saturday, he dressed quickly, donned his headphones and walked directly to the team bus. He talked to no one — until Sunday afternoon.
''I didn't have much to say,'' James said at the team's practice facility. ''Congratulations to the Orlando Magic. They played an unbelievable series and they deserved it. I didn't have much to say.''
James said he sent an e-mail to Olympics teammate Dwight Howard to congratulate him. He said the post-series handshake is just not in his DNA.
''It's hard for me to congratulate someone after you lose to them,'' James said. ''I'm a winner. It's not being a poor sport or anything like that. But somebody beats you up, you're not going to congratulate them on beating you up. That [doesn't] make sense.''
James remains one of the league's most accessible players, which is more than impressive, given his superstar status.
But James does carry the NBA banner, and win or lose, the NBA is proud that its players stand up and address questions.
Showing sportsmanship after a series can not only be a good example to others, but also can make an athlete into more of a winner. James, who respects the game and his opponents, will understand that the more he plays.
The Cavs had a lot of fun this season with their pregame photo shoots (mocked by the Magic after Game 6) and their handshakes. Shaking hands despite the anger and disappointment shows respect.
But part of what makes James great is his competitiveness, which is rare.
And every word James used and every body action he exuded as the series progressed indicated he expected to win — even when the Cavs fell behind 3-1.
They didn't.
The Cavs simply could not cope with the Magic's combination of inside power and outside shooting. Though three games were close, it always seemed like the Magic scored with little effort, while every Cavs possession was a struggle.
''This series was very interesting,'' James said. ''It could have been easily 4-2 Cavs or 4-0 Orlando.''
The hurt will linger for fans, especially because the loss will do nothing to quell the speculation and angst that James will depart in 2010 as a free agent.
James knows the Cavs will offer him an extension this offseason, but said he didn't know whether he'd sign it until he had more time to think and reflect.
James has given strong indications during the playoffs that he intends to stay, but until he re-signs, the angst will flow.
He did make one statement that might stop a lot of local laments: Losing this series has not affected how he feels about playing in Cleveland long term.
''It doesn't,'' he said. ''I've always expressed the simple fact that I love playing here. The fans are great, have always been great, like I said before, since I was an 18-year-old kid. Losing this series doesn't affect the way I will continue to approach the game here in Cleveland.''
The general feeling from all the players — aside from disappointment — was they're not going to let the series loss obscure how close they believe they are to a title.
Ben Wallace might know, since he's got a ring.
''One, two, three possessions,'' Wallace said. ''That's how close we are.''
Bottom line was that Orlando's Howard started the East Finals by breaking a basket.
He finished it by breaking the Cavs' backs and the fans' hearts.
Williams reflected on the season, staying up until 10 in the morning.
''I smiled a lot,'' he said. ''Obviously it ended with a frown, but I woke up with a smile.''
He ended with his best Arnold: ''We got some bright things going on. We'll be back.''

Lebron, Thank you for bringing the city of Cleveland up from one the lowest team rankings. You have given us so much to brag about and so much to be proud of. To hell with these bloggers and twittas that say anything less.
Thank you for another wonderful ride. Hopefully we will do this again next season???? Like you, my son has vowed to play for the Browns. You have no idea what you and the CAVS have done for Akron and Cleveland.
Deirdre
It was another fun season with the Cavs. It's fun to watch a Cleveland playoff team for once. I just wish LeBoob would show some class when he loses.
When was the last time a player on the losing team in the World Series walked out on the field and congratulated the winner? Never. I'm glad LeBron walked off the court. If they want the players to shake hands then make a ceremony like in Hockey otherwise shut up about it. It has nothing to do with sportsmanship. I want the players to HATE losing, not putting a smile on their faces 1 friggin second after losing in the ECC and shaking the winners hands.
thanks for being selfish at the end of the game. dont forget lebron, the fans pay your wages.
Lebron had a good postseason, but he also had a game committing 9 turnovers- which played a great part in loosing that game. I feel dwight Howard was more valuable to his team. And "Z" on the outside trying 3 pointers is sickening.
Remember folks during the regular season Orlando beat the cavs 2 out of 3 times.
Lebron has been a class act the whole way.
The only boob here is old man grump. When are you gonna show some class?
What happened angry student, Lebron didn't sign your jersey so you could sell it on e-bay? Get your own job.
Lebron left the court without shaking a single hand!!! Now that shows real class!
sick n tired...you make me sick and tired. typical cleveland person (not a fan...clearly) who does not understand what it means to be a competitor nor what it means to be on the cusp of sdomething great. stay lebron....stay. if i had the chance to shake an orlando hand that night i surely would not have done it. it is not poor sportmanship. it is a dumb tradition that is just as well skipped. when they shake and act all chummy after a loss i figure they just don't care cause they got paid anyway. glad to see a loss mean something to our BEST and GREATEST athlete in history. (jim brown not withstanding)
Why'd you have to make a baseball analogy, this is basketball. And when was the last time a star player lost a series and refused to talk to the media? You have to go back to the 80's.
Lebron is a great player, but own up to it. He sure doesn't mind getting in front of the media when he scores 50, or when they swept Detroit and Atlanta.
Poor Excuse... by CapBCap, 6/1/09
On Cleveland.com Lebron Says:...
"One thing about me you gotta understand; it is hard for me to congratulate somebody after just losing to him," James said. "I'm a winner; that's not being a poor sport or anything like that. If somebody beats you up, you are not going to congratulate them [for] beating you up. That doesn't make sense to me, I'm a competitor and that is what I do. It doesn't make sense to me to go over and shake somebody's hand."
He acted and sounds just like a little kid who, because he lost, wants to take his ball and go home.
I hope he stays in Cleveland, because he fits the city's "Wo Is Me" attitude perfectly.

LISTEN YOU MEDIA LA BERON IS NOT GOD AND I DON'T TEACH MY KIDS TO LOOK UP TO NOBODY BUT GOD. BECAUSE PEOPLE DO MAKE MISTAKE LOOK AT THE WORLD TODAY. JUST BE THANKFUL THAT HE GOT CLEVELAND THAT FAR BECAUSE THAT CITY HAVE BEEN THAT FAR IN A VERY, VERY. VERY , VERY LONG TIME SO CLEVELAND BE THANKFUL AND DISAPPOINT.
They did better 2 years ago. One more season before he's gone.
There is nothing wrong with shaking someones hand. If you kids did what he did would you be proud of them. NO
You want to teach your kids goods sportmanship.
Yes they lost get over it, there is nothing wrong with shaking someones hand and saying good job. We will get it next year. But to walk off like a child is wrong on so many levels.
Is this what you want you kids to see. NO.
Labron is so full of himself I am ashmaed to be from Akron.
Everyone thinks he is so great, but this was an act of a child NOT A MAN.
Suck it up, get over it, and grow up!!!!!
This comment section is full of some of the most negative and funny people in Ohio.
Good job Cavs. You had a wonderful season.
Thank you LeBron for keeping the game interersting, working so hard to stir pride in NEO.
Dont let the haters deter you from playing the game the way you want.
People attacking you would never survive a year in your life, (not at 18, 24 or even 54). Bless you, your sons and Savannah for staying in OH as long as you have.
Kiddo, "Labron is so full of himself I am ashmaed to be from Akron." SPEAK FOR YOURSELF (and be ashamed of your spelling)
Understand he had MVP and his coach was coach of the year, not getting a championship ring to complete the triangle hurts badd. It meant the most to him of any player this year.
Throwing a fit cursing and bad mouthing players is childish, walking off shattered is understandable and happens.
I agree with mr roy they had a good season and i can say as playing sports most of my life i hated shaking hands after i lost not brcause i was a sore loser and had bad sportsmanship because i HATED LOSING. Too many people looking to deep into this and guess what he human. I wonder how many terrific things all these negative speaking people have done in their life........and one more thing if you need a role model for your child BE A BETTER PARENT Enjoyed the ride with the cavs season very fun to watch GO CAVS
Always amazing to see some of you who "pray" to LeBron James. I understand the desperation in NE Ohio for anything that resembles a winner, but this guy does not represent sportsmanship or this area the way it deserves. For the love of Pete, the guy cheers for the Yankees in our own ball park! I'm interested to see how the followers will react when he picks-up and goes to the NY Knicks. Even LeBron has stated it in numerous national interviews: his #1 goal is to be the richest athlete in the history of professional sports. His focus on money will not keep him in Cleveland, so enjoy his pouting and childish temper tantrums while he's a Cav.
FOR ALL YOU LAME NEGATIVE HATERS OUT THERE LEBRON IS ONE OF THE BASKETBALL GREATS IN HISTORY OF BASKETBALL AND IS ENTITLED TO BE UPSET ONCE IN A WHILE. I AM A "TRUE" FAN OF HIS AND SOMETHING AS LITTLE AS SHAKING SOMEONES HAND WOULD NOT AND COULD NOT BE A GOOD ENOUGH REASON TO FLIP ON HIM. NONE OF YOU THAT ARE ON HERE TALKING STUFF CAN EVEN DO HALF OF WHAT HE DOES SO YOU NEED STOP BEING A HATER AND GET YOUR OWN S%#T TOGETHER.I LOVE YOU LEBRON AND THE REST OF THE TEAM.
Lebron likes it when everyone is gushing over him, when they win he is there to take all the credit... showed no class or sportsmanship to walk off like he did. he is the first one speaking to the media when they win taking all the credit..suck it up and be a man when you lose.
They had a great season and are the ONLY team in NEO right now and in the near future that gives us ANY hope. I've said it since the beginning of the season, they need another body. Z is nothing underneath !! Just another star or 2 to help out. Then, maybe our shooters can do their thing (like Orlando's did). I don't think we could've competed against the west teams. They had very big bodies. Even Boston with a healthy KG would have been tough to beat. Go Cavs !! Danny Ferry, you have some work to do this off season !!
So acting like a child is okay with you then immaculate germ. Is poor sportmanship is what you are teaching your kids? I feel sorry for them:(
I really don't see what is wrong with him walking off the court. When you put your heart into something and it's taken from you it's a hard thing to swallow. He came out to the media and explained himself, so it wasn't the "right" thing to do (walking off the court), he is human after all. Easy for others to judge isn't it?
TO LEBRON SOME thing YOU CAN"t do all by your self. no matter happen on or court you WILL be a MVP TOO ME, I BIGEST FAN . WIT OUT YOU NBA WOOD BE SO LAME.
.
T
TO LEBRON THANK FOR THE BEST YEAR EVERY YOU ARE A MVP ON OFF COURT TO ALL THE HATER. GO READ A BOOK.NO MATTER IF YOU STAY OR GO I AM STILL YOUR BIGEST FAN.
His millionaire buddies didn't care that he walked off, so why should we? I think he'll bring us the championship, but there's still a missing piece or two. If Ben Wallace retires, that will free up lots of cash to sign a true impact player with NBA championship experience. That's part of the formula that sent Orlando to the title series this year.
EVERY star player in the NBA talks to the media after a loss. Lebron wants to talk to them when he scores 50, when he beats Detroit, he even wants to do trick shots in front of them. However, he doesn't do what every star player does after they've been eliminated, talk to the media and own up to it. Lebron has been great and a true professional until now, but what he did Saturday night and what he said yesterday was childish.
He's gonna walk right to the NY Knicks. Mo Money Mo Money Mo Money! That's what it's all about. Right LeBron?
If you want to see true athletes go watch womens NCAA D-1 Softball.
Anyone can stand around a dribble a ball.
Yadda yadda.
All of you know d%mn well that if LeBron had put on a smiley face and gladhanded all the Magic after the game, there would be even MORE comments here. This time about how he's "just in it for the money" and "He doesn't really care about winning."
Or "He may as well shake everyone's hand because he's leaving soon for New York". And how about "That guy is such a sissy! We need grown men on our team, not some childish boy who thinks it's OK to lose!"
So, for those of you with the baditude, I hope you work for my company's competitors. You have no clue how to succeed. Take your negativity and shove it, you losers.
Hey Sick n Tired:
Things you should do:
1) learn to spell
2) learn proper grammar
Thanks CAVS and LeBron for an awesome season!
I disagree Carbunkle, nobody would have said anything because it's pretty standard in the NBA, I guess Lebron is above Jordan, Duncan, and the rest of them.
Is throwing elbows good sportsmanship? Chew on that for a second while I also invite you all to attend a youth sporting event and see the "sportsmanship" that parents and coaches are instilling in the kids today.
Seriously, its such a non-issue. If any of you were in his shoes - and put in all the work that he did - you wouldn't be disappointed?
LOL Some of you in here are clueless. I played little league and high school football, BBall and baseball. Oh yeah, we shook hands after losing for sure. Of course, we were not making millions as a pro either. We were actually forced to shake hands. It's not something I personally I wanted to do AT ALL.
Let's get something straight. I wasn't making money to play ball back then so I had to obey my coaches and shake the hand of someone is just beat me. TRUST ME DUDES; if I made money playing those games, NO WAY would I be shaking hands with another team who just beat me. You are are nutso for thinking a true PROFESSIONAL should shake hands.
Please......
There is a reason they are called, CAVALIERS!
when these boys start playing basket ball in grade 4 or so, they are required to at least shake hands or do the walking by high five thing to the other team. lebron needs to realize that as an nba player he is supposed to set an example for young boys/girls and just walking off the court like a baby isn't going to do it. whether he likes it or not, he's a role model, and he's doing a crappy job of it.
As a lifelong Cleve sports fan, I have grown to accept "The Curse of Rocky Calavito". And, when I complained that the Cavs sat their better players in their last regular season game instead of going for the season win record (Boston holds it, Cavs could've tied it), I was called a whiner because the Cavs were sitting them out so they could win the NBA title. As I predicted then.... NO RING! And, to all of you whom worship at the "Altar of LeBron".. The difference between he and Jordan is that Jordan had class win or lose. You can take the boy outta 'DaHood', but ya can't take 'DaHood' outta the boy. As an umpire who does State baseball tourneys, I see great players lose every year, but even with tears in their eyes, the losers have enough sportsmanship and mettle (yes, thats spelled correctly) to line up and shake the winners hands. Quit making excuses for an overpaid prima donna.
Dey whupped us an you spect me to shake hands wit dem? Not me brother.
Hopefully his girlfreind will teach their kids about sportmanship. Win or lose be a sport and shake hands. Wish them well and see you next year.
If we would have beat them he would have shaken their hands. Why are people so shocked no one knows his character or lack of it .Every one is so busy kissing his high priced rear end that when he does wrong they say he's right .Two kid's out of wed lock and stealing comparisons and sayings from the bible does not make him those things sorry folks.
No big deal, he didn't act badly just walked off the court without shaking hands and didn't feel like talking to the media. He didn't beat anybody, buy/sell/use drugs, throw a tantrum or otherwise act poorly. He was upset that the season was over. He should be.
I agree with somebody else that said there'd be just as many comments or more complaining if he had shook hands and acted like it was ok they lost. Some of you just love to hate things, or take our your own bitterness over the loss on the players that you think don't set a good example for your kids. Like another poster said, you want good examples for your kids, start with yourself and how you act, don't worry about the athletes and celebrities.
Great season Cavs, too bad it fell a little short of expectations. Hopefully you can make a few minor changes and come back stronger next year.
@BW-First of all if it WERE about money he WILL stay in Cleveland because the Cavs are allowed to offer more than ANY other offer given to him by another team. Besides that, we are talking about his sportsmanship here. I am in agreement with the others who say it isn't a big deal that he just left the court. That's what they do the rest of the season isn't it? Why should the playoffs be any different? Sportsmanship belongs in amateur sports. THAT is where TRUE sports are. The NBA, NFL, MLB, NHL etc. etc. are HUGE business corporations. Granted they are games, but these people are being paid to play. These people are NOT role models. Anyone who thinks different needs their heads checked. Professional sports are NO different than any other movie or television show. They are pure entertainment for fans. You wouldn't let you child idolize an actor/actress would you? How about a rock/pop/rap star? NO, it doesn't make any sense. As a parent your #1 job is to be the rold model to your child/children. Not let some over paid athelete, actor, singer, etc. do the job for you. So who cares if he walked of the court?
Hannaman, I understand where your disagreement on this is coming from.
And I respectfully disagree with your disagreement.
I believe you are giving waaaaay too much credit to the cretins today. They are here. There. Everywhere!
Grasping at any straws they can. Being disrespectful for the twisted enjoyment of being a contrarian. Being logical means nothing to them. Not going along with the crowd is everything.
People with this attitude sure make my life much easier, and much more profitable.
The NBA has long ago tossed out sportsmanship and now embraces and encourages street thug mentality and brutality on the courts. So in effect, I applaud LeBron for walking off the court and refusing to shake hands with the dirty mongers who proved once again, that good guys finish last. Good for you LeBron. Stay angry. Next season, bring that anger to the courts!
I'm thinking if I were LeBron, I'd be mad at myself for not doing better in game 6. I'd also be mad at my teammates for not doing better in game 6. He really really was planning on THIS year being the year and no more "wait till next year" and he was just really mad.
Have you ever been really mad about something? I've always gave myself to cool off before talking about it -- especially when it's work related, because you're more likely to say something you're going to deeply regret when you're mad. Plus, he has the added pressure of every spoken word being highly scrutinized and dissected.
So let him take the 5th and cool off. You'd probably do the same.
Oh my gosh get hell over it people!! He was mad so what,oh well! He eventually did talk! Also you know all these NBA players are friends and talk anyway! He probably gave his respects when he was ready to do so not on everyone elses time!!
Oh, one more thing...Congratulations to the Cavs for a nail-biting and exciting post season, and especially to LeBron for putting Cleveland on the international map!
****Understand he had MVP and his coach was coach of the year, not getting a championship ring to complete the triangle hurts badd. It meant the most to him of any player this year.
Throwing a fit cursing and bad mouthing players is childish, walking off shattered is understandable and happens.*****
---------------------------------------------------
immaculate-germ, thats the best comment in this section thus far....kudos to you!
I'd walk off & not talk to anyone either especially while the opponents were chanting "MVP, Ha Ha Ha". I wish we would've gotten more physical with Howard. Lebron worked so hard & deserves so much more. He can still keep his home & ties in Cleveland but we all know he'll go where the winners will be, I didn't say money but "winners". He wants the ring, he's got the talent & can do it. I don't blame him.
He shook Detroits hand, he shook Atlantas hand...he is a poor sport...but they brought this on themselves....all that fake picture taking and dancing in the final games of the season...and they weren't even in the playoffs yet....I used to like Lebron...not now..he always claims to be a role model for kids..but he just showed them how not to act.
Lebron James did not do what he should have done, and he is getting some heat for it. That's the price he pays for getting all the positives for doing what he ought to do in almost every occasion. From my point of view, he behavior after the Orlando game, if placed in the context of his overall performance, is no big deal.
If anybody had watched Boston and Flordia last game , should understand why they (cleveland ) was going to loose.Nobody can guard them or stop there 3 point shooters. When your hot ,your hot! Can not take anything from James,to bad there was no help
As a Hoban grad, it would easy for me to pick on St V-M's most famous son. I won't, but, Le Bron, as the face of the NBA and as the youth of america looks up to you, plese take a minute to think this over. We have played competitively for years, and no one likes to lose more than Cleveland fans--we have been 'fumbled', 'driven', 'booted' and on and on. But I remember Michael Jordan 'tipping' his hat to Isiah Thomas years ago after the Pistons beat the Bulls and knocked them out of the playoffs. Was it tough? Sure. Did it hurt MJ? No Doubt. But Michael, like Le Bron, is the ultimate sportsman and let the NBA and its fans know it.
Le Bron, as the face of the NBA, please show the sports world and your fans that you are the 'second comming of MJ!!!
Congrats guys; you should be proud. I hope you get to go to the big dance next year. You should have heard me yelling for a Cleveland team; they are the only team from Cleveland I cheer! LeBron you can't carry the team and you can't win every game. I wish the Cavs the best.
Rick, give me a break. Lebron does not have to shake anyone's hands after a game. Do you think that if a kid see's Lebron shaking Dwight Howard's hand that he or she is going to become more of a sport?!?
Get off Lebron's back, he scored almost 50% of our points last series and put everything he had out on the court...he does not owe anyone anything...
POSERS
Le Bron,
you have added such EXCITEMENT in our Akron/Cleveland area that everyone was on the Band Wagon, then BAM!!! Shame on these people, It is a TEAM game not 1 person game!
mattvj5
All kids look up to him and he should of showed respect for the other team. If they would of won, you bet your sweet a55 he would. That is what you are suppose to do. There is no reason for him to act like a child.
Are you trying to tell me that if your child acted that way you would have no problem? Some how i don't think so.
HEY, LeBron: NO ONE LIKES TO LOSE !!! C'Mon. . . You shake hands when you win. . .GROW UP. . .
If you have not been as sucessfull as Lebron James , then why are you running your mouth online? I think 90% of you are no good trash talkers, that obviously have nothing to be happy about in your life ~ so you make everything negative! grow up, I dont see anyone in ohio carry as much responsibility, and yet be as sucessfull in a sport. If you do not have something nice to say, SHUT UP
Yes, the chips are a little down now. But, do NOT give up hope for this team. I liked this quote from above, sums it up well,
"Lebron, Thank you for bringing the city of Cleveland up from one the lowest team rankings. You have given us so much to brag about and so much to be proud of. To hell with these bloggers and twittas that say anything less."
Friendly Reminder-
LeBron is a human being whom will make mistakes sometimes. Show the same respect for him that you do when he's getting triple doubles and banging 40pts a game. After all, he was/is a HUGE part of making believers out of all of us and giving us great hope during the ECC. This season is the most I've watch of basketball, and I enjoyed every moment of it . GO BronBron...Shake it off, and on to another great season. You don't have to kiss no ones "donkey"!!!
Test
The Cavs had an incredible season and made all of us thrilled to be their fans! My gut tells me that LeBron had tears in his eyes and couldn't speak after the game - that guy has a heart and it shows with every game it plays and every word he speaks. How many of us true fans had tears in our eyes when that buzzer rang! God Bless and Go Cavs!
No other teams had a problem shaking LeBron's hand after he and the Cavs got done with them in the playoffs, either this year or any of the last few years, so why all of a sudden can't LeBron return the gesture?
It IS poor sportsmanship to walk out like he did. He proved that he is a crybaby. Nothing he does now will ever impress me.
Orlando had a team with more than one guy who could score. Its amazing Cleve.only lost 16games this year. I still can't figure out why Cleveland's 7'plus center plays out by the foul line.In the days of Chamberlan and Russell they were under the basket feeding the ball back out to the perimeter, scoring on the inside and blocking shots when someone drove the basket.
Those two big guys(especialy the one with the afro are real clutzes, complete wastes.
yes Mr James.. have young people look up to you....NOT... won't even shake hands with the winning team. How childish is that? You want to be a hero?? come out in public and apolgize to the city of Orlando and Cleveland for you selfish act. NO..Not to Akron--we should disown you esp. since you don't live here any more. Just goes to show that by going to St V-St M didn't make you a better person. To think they spent good money on you to go there on a scholship.
The Knicks should do well next year.
KUF98...go back to yer doublewide and skip some more school.
KUF98...wif yer spelling, I'd swear yer from michigan or sh*ttsburg.
handshake...shmandshake !! Get over it !!!
Don't worry Lebron, these folks have only been rooting for you for the last 10 games of this last regular season anyway. Heck, half of them must be from michigan or sh*ttsburg. Who needs 'em anyway?? You will be fine my friend. Go Cavs !!
HAND SHAKE ... SHMANDSHAKE !!!
IN the bigpicture of life this means nothing.
he showed no class.....no sportsmanship....
sucks that the best team in Cavs history couldn't win the trophy......
MAYBE MY SON WON'T BE SPORTING LeBron James shoes next school year.and the big baby will get mad enough to leave Cleveland.BUT... i hope not! we love him and support what and where he has come from...i feel his pain of losing.IT SUCKS!!!

I love You Cavs , You had a great season, Thanks
Now the true LeBoob has come out. he showed no class at the end of the game just like he shows no class in his everyday life style. How any of you can worship the "King" is beyond my comprehension.
MILLION DOLLAR CRYBABIES. WHEN ARE PEOPLE GOING TO REALIZE CLEVELAND IS THE ARMPIT OF AMERICA. THEY WILL NEVER WIN ANYTHING. BYE BYE LEBRON. WHO CARES?
HUGE Cleveland fan. Extremely disappointed when I woke up Sunday morning.
Then I saw a picture in the paper that changed my whole way of thinking.
Any of you see it?
Go find Sunday's paper and in look in the front section for the picture of the little 3 year old boy holding daddy's hand before daddy ships out to war.
PERSPECTIVE PEOPLE!!! Yes it hurts but its a GAME!!!!!
It's called respect for the game and respect for your opponents. Lebron is in front of the media when he scores 50 and talking about himself. It's his responsibility to get in front of the media to answer questions when they lose, and not to leave his teammates to answer the questions. He's human, it's a mistake, but one he should have known not to make.
i dont cair, im prowd of lebaron
He's LE BRONZE never LE GOLD ,or LE SILVER that phony ego maniac, does nuttin' foe no boody, juss his thug hommiez dat be steelin' hiz dumm a blind. Drivin hiz carz like dey be starz hey homie smart up!!on second thought couldn't happen to a more deserving person ha ha .
Typical fair-weather Cleveland fans.. condemn the man that brought your team from the depths of H*LL straight to the top!! And for what?? Wah, wah, wah..mommy he didn't shake my hand!! You need some cheese with your wine?? It's another heartbreaking season that came to an end on a sour note and a bad game!!! TRUE Cleveland fans feel his pain..who wants to watch a grown man lose his composure over losing a game?? I would rather he walked off than cried all the way thru the line shaking hands!! GIVE CREDIT WHERE IT'S DUE..at least the guy's not hopped up on roids, beating his girlfriend/wife or organizing dog fights!!! The kid's got a good head on his shoulders..so what if he showed a little poor sportsmanship...GET OVER IT! We expect so much of these guys and put them on pedastals, but forget that they are human AND they are getting paid a whole lot of money to PLAY A GAME!!!!
Come on...really people?? If you hate the CAVS then go somewhere else. The CAVS put a lot of heart & soul into this season, breaking records left & right. Why cant people just be happy that we had the opportunity to witness it all. As for LeBron walking off the court & not talking to anyone that night, who cares, why cant he have some time to himself? He was disappointed and upset. Maybe he couldnt even find the words to express how he was feeling. None of you can even imagine the emotional roller coaster that man & that team has been on the last few months. Give the guy a break!! Also, why does he have to be the one to always talk to the media? Mo did a great job. I think people take for granted the things that they do have. We had a great season. Be thankful for once! Congratulations Cleveland Cavaliers!! You have alot of fans that love you very much & support you 110% - no matter what!! Can't wait til' next year! GO CAVS!!!
But here is the problem, EVERY OTHER SUPERSTAR IN THE NBA THAT LOSES A SERIES FEELS THE SAME WAY, AND THEY TALK TO THE MEDIA!!!! Maybe they're just more mature than Lebron.
Go back home and admire your face on the side of your house. Maybe you can drive your Mercedes over 100 mph again.
@ HannaMan....SO WHAT he didn't feel like talking to the media THIS GAME...I truly don't understand what all the crying is about!!! MO did just fine in front of the media..and who says it has to be Lebron in front of the media all the time? Isn't he part of a "team"????????
@ Not brainwashed-that's the best you can come up with?
Again I will say it...Cleveland (and its surrounding areas...Akron, Youngstown, Canton)have some of the best fans in the country...but they've got the WORST fair-weathered, band wagon jumpers in the world that give us true fans a bad name!!!!
Come on, why would Lebron shake hands, after Orlando, was harrassing Lebron and Howard smiling everytime making a basket or going to the foul line... I wanted to knock that SMILE off his face!!!! I feel so BAD for Lebron, They played so hard and won all those games, but came up short...They must of just ran out of gas!!! But with Orlando chanting, MVP, and all the other bad mouthing, I wouldn't shake their hand either... Like Lebron said, if someone knocks you down, are you going to get up and shake their hand, no you'd knock them OUT!!!!!!
are you kidding maxwell?? lebron has his face in front of the camera taking all the credit.. well it is suppose to be a team but seems to me he is always sayin i did this i did that..well you didnt win and showed what a spoiled little man you really are. i am sure that the other teams and players wanted to win, where disappointed that they lost, but they showed the class and sportsmanship to shake his hand after their losses.. and guess what he was out there expecting it from them.
It's actually in the NBA rules that you have to talk to the media, and Lebron will likely get fined. Shaq did. Funny how only the Cavs fans are the only people in the country talking about these things the Magic did.
I just think it's funny how Lebron justified it by saying he's a winner. Meanwhile, a real winner like Michael Jordan was ok with shaking the Pistons hands and owning up to it in front of the media. Lebron's a great player and a stand-up guy, but he showed a side on Saturday night that he must have gotten from his mother.
ivorybrown1,
You spell like you talk, I' sure.
