Here is a list of road and lane closings in the Akron area:
Major highways abruptly closed: None.
Other road construction:
AKRON:
• Hickory Street at the railroad crossing north of Overlook Place: Closing daily from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. through Wednesday for emergency repair to a sewer line. Access to the north side of the closing will be from Merriman Road, and south of the closing from North Street.
• Case Avenue, between East Market Street and Bank Street: Closed for installation of a sewer main. A detour will be posted. It is expected to reopen Saturday.
• Massillon Road, between Harding Avenue and Spade Avenue: Lane restrictions for sanitary sewer improvements until the end of March.
Elsewhere in Summit County:
• State Route 619 and Arlington Road in Green: Arlington from Liberty Green Drive (just north of Route 619) to the intersection of Interstate 77 will have occasional lane restrictions throughout the winter for road construction. The widening and reconstruction project is to be completed by June.
MEDINA COUNTY:
• South Court Street/Sturbridge Drive intersection lane closings in Medina: Traffic will be maintained but lane closings within and adjacent to the intersection will occur for about 90 days. Delays should be expected. This is to accommodate utility and road work as part of an intersection reconstruction project. Local access to residences and businesses will be maintained.
PORTAGE COUNTY:

STARK COUNTY:
• State Route 153 from Fruitland Avenue to Constitution Avenue in Louisville: Will have occasional lane restrictions for road construction until further notice.
WAYNE COUNTY:
No current projects to report.
Elsewhere in Northeast Ohio:
• Interstate 77 bridge deck replacement in Brecksville, Broadview Heights and Independence: Major work will resume in the spring on Chestnut and Harris roads over Interstate 77. Valley Parkway over I-77 in Brecksville is maintained with one lane of two-way traffic with a temporary signal until further notice. Daily and nightly lane closings are expected on I-77 in both directions between Pleasant Valley Road and the Ohio Turnpike for work on bridges. The bridge deck replacements are complete on Lacey Lane, Oakes Road, Highland Drive and Snowville Road over I-77.
