Trail plan in Federal Register
The National Park Service on Thursday announced that the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Notice of Availability for the park’s final trail plan is to be published today in the Federal Register.
That begins a 30-day waiting period before a Record of Decision, or final approval, can be issued.
The park service need not respond to comments received during this period but must consider them when making the final decision.
The plan then would be approved this summer by the park service’s regional office in Omaha when the Record of Decision is signed. The plan then can be implemented.
Electronic copies of the final report are available at http://parkplanning.nps.gov/cuyahogatrailplan. Click on Document List.
Copies also are available for public review at the park’s Boston Store Visitor Center in Boston Township, plus at public libraries in Peninsula, Northfield and Brecksville.
A limited number of copies and CDs are available from the park service by contacting Cuyahoga Valley National Park, Trail Management Plan, 15610 Vaughn Road, Brecksville, OH 44141, or 330-342-0764, ext. 1.
