By jim Published: July 28, 2010

If imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, dogs often shower us with praise. New research has just determined dogs automatically imitate us, even when it is not in their best interest to do so.

By jim Published: July 26, 2010

OK. So you’ll need to be in the right frame of mind to enjoy this one (it’s a joke, folks!) from David Thorne. But if you are, it’s pretty darned funny. This is a supposed email exchange between co-workers, one of whom (David) is a designer. Shannon is a distraught cat owner who makes the mistake of asking David’s pro bono assistance in creating a Lost Cat flyer.

PAWS Pet of the Week: Meet Samantha!

By millere80 Published: July 26, 2010

SAMANTHA IS A LOVELY LONG HAIRED GREY TABBY WHO IS LOOKING FOR LOVE. She's a very sweet cat who was thrown out of her home on the West Side of Cleveland and was eventually found under a porch. PAWS was called, and now Samantha is in a loving and caring foster home with other cats. She is looking for a family who will not kick her out again.

Samantha is about 5 years old, a lovely grey color, and somewhat on the heavy side. She has been spayed, tested and is up-to-date on her shots. Sadly, she has been found to be FIV positive but due to her sweet and gentle nature, is not a threat to other cats as FIV is spread between cats only through biting and bleeding.
