Amnesty for Dog Owners

By jim Published: May 12, 2009

By Betty O'Neill-Roderick

In conjunction with Barkitecture, a special exhibition of whimsical doghouses at Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens, Summit County Executive Russ Pry has declared amnesty to all dogs and their owners to encourage the purchase of 2009 Summit County Dog Licenses.

Every Sunday during the run of Barkitecture, 2009 dog licenses can be purchased at Stan Hywet for $14. with no late fee charged. By taking advantage of this cost savings opportunity, citizens will be exempt from paying the additional late fee of $14.

As a prime sponsor of Barkitecture, the Summit County Division of Animal Control commissioned the construction of Lincolndog, a doghouse inspired by Lincoln Logs building blocks. All materials used to create the structure were donated by DLZ Ohio Inc., and Thomarios.
