You know, as much as we love our pup pals, we have to admit that sometimes they dish out a bit of embarrassment to
ourselves in one way or another in front of other people. It might be a fun thing in their doggy world, but as you are proudly parading your pup in the public (holy heck say that 3x fast) and suddenly your pup begins a lovely leg hump or something worse: it's just not good for the dog owner ego.
And there is a study too. I mean, there is a study about everything ... the folks at Petside.com announced that 1 out of every 10 owners have an embarrassing blip that they've experienced with their pet. Science folks. Leave it to science.
The tough part is admitting it... Like Ted for example: he's super well-behaved, aims to please, wants nothing but to make his mother (me) proud. We were out doing a DogStuff event a couple summers ago. I was dressed with a luau theme, handing out Hawaiian leis to pup pals. I took Ted on a potty break, and he decided to lift his leg right on to my grass skirt. Clearly the style didn't "wow" him, and passersby quickly pointed and laughed. I did too. But dang that was embarrassing. LOL
Give us your story. The hard part is admitting it, but it's worth the chuckle for the rest of us...
