Casper's The Friendliest Ghost!

Nothing at all spooky about this strikingly marked young boy. A silver gray and white, one-year-old tabby male, resembling a British Short Hair, Casper is a gorgeous fellow. Last weekend, Casper approached a friendly cat lover in search of some attention. Here's what she has to say about this little guy:

PAWS Pet of the Week: Sweet Samantha!

By millere80 Published: November 7, 2011

Sweetest of Sweet Samantha!

Say HI to Samantha, a gorgeous 2 or 3 year old torti. Initially shy, once Samantha gets to know you, she reveals her true, adorable and loving personality. A sweet little companion cat, Samantha has the cutest little meow that sounds more like a bird chirping. She will follow you wherever you go; all she wants is to be by your side. Such an affectionate, loving little girl, Samantha lives to cuddle with you and care for you. Samantha will tolerate other cats, but would probably prefer to be an only pet, and have you all to herself.

SOS Adoptable of the Day: Snowbell!

By Amber Published: November 1, 2011

Breed:  Poodle - Chihuahua (mix)
Gender:  Female
Altered: Yes
Ref. no.: 111013

Snowbell is a tiny, little thing, weighing in at approximately 14 pounds. But boy does she have a big personality! She has only been with us a few days and she is already starting to shine. Snowbell was surrendered by her previous owners, so I do have some background information on her. She turned 9 this September and is a Chihuahua/Poodle mix. She is considered a Senior canine, but when you interact with her, you'd never guess she is 9 years old. She has the softest, fuzziest coat, with the tiniest hint of curls about her face and ears. The curls and her delicate face give her the appearance of a little pup. She loves to snuggle with her people, but she is also a fan of playing fetch with small, soft, squeaky toys. She also loves to go for walks and knows the meaning of the word, so unless you intend on taking her for a stroll, your best bet is to spell it out! Snowbell has exhibited great "potty" skills and has yet to have an accident in the house, so there hasn't been a need to crate her. She gets along great with our other small dogs, but was initially intimidated by the resident cats. Now that they've had the chance to sniff each other out, she doesn't pay them any mind. She has yet to be tested around small children, but like many small dogs, she is particular about how/when she is picked up, so she may be best suited for a home with no children, or at least older children that can take direction. Snowbell is the complete package---she's still energetic, she's cute as a button, AND she's housebroken! Snowbell loves to wear sweaters, so if you're looking for a snuggly, walking buddy with a bit of fashionista flair, then this may be the dog for you! Her senior adoption fee is only $100. To apply for adoption, please fill out an on-line application at Save Ohio Strays does NOT claim or guarantee any breeds given in this description. SOS NEVER ships pets and will not adopt out to a driving radius greater than 3 hours from Medina, Ohio.
