Dog amnesty

By jim Published: September 11, 2009

CUYAHOGA FALLS: Summit County will offer its Pardon My Pooch amnesty program today through Sunday at PetSmart, 355 Howe Ave., Cuyahoga Falls.

The program allows dog owners to buy licenses without paying the $14 late penalty. The goal is to bring more pet owners into compliance with the state dog licensing law, which requires the purchase of a county license on an annual basis.

County workers will sell licenses from 6 to 8 p.m. today; 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday; and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday. Cost of a license is $14.

For details, call 330-643-2845.
