Dog Days of Summer at Cleveland Botanical Gardens

By jim Published: May 28, 2009

Dogs will be welcome on Sundays this summer at Cleveland Botanical Garden. Yes, the Garden is going to the dogs during “Dog Days of Summer,” and it’s going to be great!

People who love beautiful gardens often wish they could share their favorite places with their canine best buddies, therefore these ten acres of lush gardens will be open to dogs, accompanied by their owners. The event will take place every Sunday from June 7 through September 27, 2009; noon to 5 p.m.

Dogs – on leashes – and their human companions will have their pick of outdoor gardens to wander through, excluding only the Hershey Children’s Garden. Water and treats will be available throughout the gardens. Best of all the dogs will be admitted free of charge during “Dog Days of Summer.” Canine guests and their owners will be admitted through the Garden’s Kohl Gate entrance on Wade Oval. Admission is $7.50 for adults, $3 for children ages 3 through 12, and free for children under 3, and all dogs – no bones about it!

In addition, the Garden is partnering with local dog-related organizations who will be onsite every Sunday during “Dog Days” presenting special programs for animal lovers.
