The Humane Society of Greater Akron is open for animal adoptions in their new location at 7996 Darrow Road in Twinsburg. Currently 200 dogs, cats and even some rabbits are available for adoption.

Adopters are now able to walk through the facility and look at all of the available animals for adoption and then fill out an adoption application and meet with one of the counselors. Adoption fees are $99 for dogs and puppies and $30 for kittens and $20 for cats. Special fees are available for senior citizens adopting senior pets or special need animals.

All animals will be spayed or neutered with shots and microchiped.

The shelter is open for adoptions Tuesday through Friday 1 - 7 pm and Saturday 10 am to 6 pm and Sunday 12 - 5 pm. For more information or find out how to donate call us at 330-487-0333 or visit www.summithumane.org.
