PAWS Pet of the Week: Meet Charlie!

By millere80 Published: December 21, 2010

Choose Charlie, the donut loving cat!

Say hello to Charlie. Approximately 1 1/2 yrs old, he showed up at the PAWS director's home a few days ago in need of a little love and attention. This handsome fellow is ready for a purrfect home. He has tested FIV+. Charlie can be around other cats after an initial quarantine period. FIV is passed from cat to cat by a bite, so once the cats are used to each other, there is no worry. Additionally, it cannot be passed to humans or dogs. Charlie will live a happy, healthy life with the right someone to love him.

Escape by a whisker: Quick-thinking cat saves house from fire... by opening the window

By jim Published: December 14, 2010

A clever cat has been hailed a hero after he prevented his owners' home from burning down - by opening a window.
Five-year-old Pepper has learned to open windows and lets himself out every night by hopping on to a kitchen worktop and using his paws to turn the latch.

So when a fire broke while his owners were Christmas shopping, the quick-thinking puss leapt into action and opened the window to allow the acrid smoke to escape.

PAWS Pet of the Week: Meet Jessie!

By millere80 Published: December 14, 2010

Jessie is a sweetheart of a kitten. Approximately 4 months old, she's extremely laid back and gets along well with other cats and kids. She's happy to play or snuggle up in your lap for some love and attention.

Jessie came to PAWS slightly injured with a broken bone in her right leg. It's healed up but does cause her to have a tiny limp, and she holds it a certain way when sitting or laying down. It doesn't affect her playfulness or ability to move about at all. She's a lovable little cutie pie who deserves a safe, happy home.

PAWS Pet of the Week: Spice Up Your Life With Cinnamon!

By millere80 Published: December 7, 2010

Cinnamon is such a precious little sweetheart. Although she is around 8 months old, she is very tiny (only about 5 pounds) and looks like a kitten. At first she’s very timid, but Cinnamon has become confident, playful and affectionate. She has discovered the joy of play, and will entertain you with her funny antics. When tired, she will climb up on her trusted person's lap for a cuddle.

Cinnamon loves her foster family’s cat. Her personality is so sweet, loving and playful. And she is sooo pretty and cute! Cinnamon would be fine with a calm dog, and a quiet household with children 9 and over. Are you the purrfect home for this loving little girl?
