The following is a press release from the Portage County Animal Protective League:
Join Portage APL in partnership with Stow Kent Animal Hospital for the Love is in Bloom Adoption Event. On May 5, 2013 Stow Kent Animal Hospital will be hosting the APL in hopes to increase adoptions and awareness for homeless animals.
Adopt a homeless APL animal; schedule a free wellness exam with each adoption; bring a donation to help homeless pets; enjoy snacks and refreshments, giveaways, raffle drawings and activities for the whole family! Dr. Jacobson said “Stow Kent Animal Hospital is a proud supporter of Portage APL and we want to help them boost adoptions and generate support. They are always in need of donations and good families for their rescued animals.”
The event will run from 12:00 pm until 4:00 pm. All animals available for adoption are up to date on vaccines, spayed or neutered, checked for appropriate disease and free of fleas and worms. Many are also microchipped and have an additional medical history.
The Portage APL is a private, nonprofit organization and relies on the generosity and kindness of individuals and businesses to make our community a safer place for thousands of animals who have no voice. We continue to rescue animals every day and the need is constant. Please give a needy animal a loving place to call home!
Also, for the entire month of May, all dogs are $100 (reg. price is $150)! For more information, please call the Portage APL at 330.296.4022.
