More than 1,300 stray cats neutered in Cleveland; city spends $40,000 on trap-neuter-return program
CLEVELAND — The $40,000 that the city earmarked to neuter stray cats is gone.
Over the last five months, residents and the Cleveland Animal Protective League captured, vaccinated and neutered 1,334 cats that roamed the streets. The felines were then returned to their neighborhoods, where it is hoped they will keep unneutered animals away.
