PAWS Pet of the Week: Meet Tortalina!

By millere80 Published: September 20, 2010

Affectionate, Independent Italian Beauty Seeks Soulmate.

Tortalina (not a very creative name, but she is Italian ) was found in the woods near a condominium complex on 04/28/08 after brief sightings for over 8 months. She is a strong, independent kitty who was able to brave winter blizzards and outdoor elements before being rescued by a kind Samaritan. According to the vet, she had nursed a litter of kittens. Although we were unable to locate them, Tortalina kept returning to us in search of human companionship and home.

Tortalina's a complete love to her foster mom. She snuggles on her, drapes her body over her neck and plays perfectly on her own. She doesn't always play well with other kitties and can be a bit skittish so she should go to a peaceful home without other cats or children. She's friendly, playful, and purrs for all your affection.

Tortalina is a gorgeous diluted tortie, with a mostly dark grey fluffy coat and peach markings. She has been through so much and deserves a wonderful forever person or family to adore her. Please consider adoption this winter, and we promise she will warm your heart!
