Paws & Pitches at Canal Park

By jim Published: July 29, 2010

On August 11th, Akron Aeros fans will have an opportunity to enjoy a baseball game with some unusual company – their pets! Tickets will be sold at discounted prices through Pawsibilities, the Humane Society of Greater Akron to benefit their organization. This event makes for a great family night out, that includes the entire family! Not only will it be a great time, but this event also helps out the abused, abandoned, and neglected animals of Summit County.

The Akron Aeros partners with Pawsibilities, the Humane Society of Greater Akron annually to promote family fun and educate the public on our mission. This event is a great way to raise funds to support and these homeless animals.

The evening will kick off at 6:15pm with a pet parade around the field! During the game, owners can get a picture with their furry friend and proceeds benefit Pawsibilities, the Humane Society of Greater Akron. Adoptable animals will be on hand hoping to find their forever homes.

Tickets for the event are $6 for people and $4 for pets. This price is well below the everyday $10 price. Tickets can be purchased prior to the game at the shelter, located at 7996 Darrow Road, in Twinsburg. Tickets purchased at the door will be full price, and will not benefit the Pawsibilities, the Humane Society of Greater Akron.
