BARBERTON: Low-income Barberton residents can have their cats and dogs spayed or neutered and receive rabies shots at a low cost or free.

Appropriate documentation must be provided.

The service will be provided by One of a Kind Pet Pet Spay/Neuter Clinic on Wednesday. The service is by appointment only and will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis.

Free transportation for the animals also can be arranged when an appointment is made.

Financial assistance to low-income Barberton residents is being provided by the Heart of Gold Humane Fund, sponsored by an unnamed Barberton family.
