PAWS Pet of the Week: Meet Tortalina!

By millere80 Published: September 20, 2010

Affectionate, Independent Italian Beauty Seeks Soulmate.

Tortalina (not a very creative name, but she is Italian ) was found in the woods near a condominium complex on 04/28/08 after brief sightings for over 8 months. She is a strong, independent kitty who was able to brave winter blizzards and outdoor elements before being rescued by a kind Samaritan. According to the vet, she had nursed a litter of kittens. Although we were unable to locate them, Tortalina kept returning to us in search of human companionship and home.

PAWS Pet of the Week: Meet Ariel!

By millere80 Published: September 14, 2010

Ariel is the product of 1 unaltered cat that produced 5 kittens last summer.  This summer those kittens produced 20 more kittens.  She is 14 weeks old. She is a shy calm kitten.   She loves other cats and even dogs.  She will approach me when I am in her "bedroom" for attention.  She purrs with delight when I pet her.  She is a beautiful shinny short haired black kitten.  When she is playing in the house she will come when called at mealtime.  Adopt Ariel and give her the lovin’ she so deserves.

The Fly Mask Debacle

By Carol Published: September 4, 2010

Once again here at Kindred Acres Farm another sighting of the latest in horse fashion and the traditional fly mask. Preacher, determined to set a new fashion trend, refused to sport the boring and out dated fly mask ensemble and after rearranging and enhancing his fly mask appearance shocked onlookers yesterday.

Preacher, always a leader in smart horse etiquette and apparel, has left the horse fashion world reeling in disbelief. Refusing to wear his eye mask over his eyes he donned it on his muzzle and arranged delicate burrs in a maraud of abstract design. Preacher, ahead of his time in horse fashion has done it again.
