Portage APL lowers price of dog adoptions in October

By Ohio.com Published: October 18, 2012

The following is a press release:

October is Adopt a Shelter Dog Month and Portage APL wants to find loving homes for as many dogs as possible. For the entire month of October, dog adoptions are only $125 (reg. $150) and come with a free, brand new leash!

“In these tough times, we have to be creative and think outside the box to draw attention to the amazing animals that are waiting for loving homes” says Chalan Lowry, Executive Director. “They say… When you adopt an animal, you save two lives… the one you adopt and the one that takes its place. And we can tell you, it’s true. The more animals we find homes for, the more animals we can take in.”

All dogs adopted are up to date on vaccines, spayed or neutered, checked for appropriate disease and free of fleas and worms. Many are also microchipped and have an additional medical history.

The Portage APL is a private, nonprofit organization and relies on the generosity and kindness of individuals and businesses to make our community a safer place for thousands of animals who have no voice. We continue to rescue animals every day and the need is constant. Please give a needy animal a loving place to call home!
