Pet food tainted with Salmonella may be making kids sick, a govt. report warns, detailing the first known salmonella outbreak in humans, mostly young children, linked to pet kibble. The outbreak sickened 79 people almost half of them children.

Punkin , as a former feral, is initially extremely shy but warms up over time. Once she adjusts to you, Punkin is a fun, loving lap cat. She loves to play with strings and other cats. Foster mom says: "Punkin loves her lovin' and purrs."

Everyone loves kittens and puppies!  Most rescue groups know it is easier to find homes for cute little babies but not so easy for the adult dog or cat.  I tend to believe that the hardest is the adult cat. Some no kill rescues can have adult cats in foster care for years.  It really isn't the cat itself that is to blame, most are unique and have outstanding personalities.  Adult cats are kittens in bigger bodies really.  It's too bad that most people don't get to see all that personality because adult cats may not show off their best side at an adoption event. The foster family knows about their special ward and all his or her attributes but just telling someone doesn't reach out and grab them as much as a playful little ball of fur.

I've been extremely busy and haven't had time to post. I bought a small horse farm down the road from my house. It had been for sale for several years because of the economy and the repairs needed to the house. I count the surprise happening of buying this property as a true blessing.

Woody would make A wonderful pet! Can you believe that someone would throw such a sweet baby out of a car window? Well, that's exactly what happened to poor Woody. This occurred on Woodland Avenue --- hence the name Woody.

Woody was clearly someone's pet though because he is extremely friendly and adores attention. He got along instantly with the other kitties in his foster home and loves his foster parents. A beautiful short haired black baby boy of about 12 weeks, Woody has the cutest little white patches on his neck and tummy. Woody's foster mom says he's a long, lean kitten who looks like he will grow into a big boy. A super sweet, affectionate baby, Woody would make a wonderful pet. Will Woody win your heart?
