The Pet Party, benefiting NEOhio Pet Food Bank, June 26, 27

By jim Published: June 23, 2010

PAX: Peace for Animals was founded in 2001 as a nonprofit organization. In 2010 they established Northeastern Ohio’s Pet Food Bank to help those who have fallen on tough times and are struggling to feed their pets.

The goal is to provide a temporary source of nutritious pet food for pets of families who are facing tough financial setbacks in Northeast Ohio.

PAX started soliciting donations of pet food and supplies from the community, and soon they distributing those supplies to make a difference for others.

They have been financing these efforts using private funds and personal donations. With hundreds of needy families seeking help, the sheer scope of need has grown well beyond their financial resources.

PAX will be hosting its first big fundraising event, title "The Pet Party," at the Cuyahoga County Fairgrounds, June 26–27, 2010.
