"An animal's eyes have the power to speak a great language." - Martin Buber
Isn’t that the truth? If you are a pet owner, there is one being in this world that you can’t hide your feelings from: and that is your pet. Whether you are the proud owner of a dog, cat, bird, or other precious creature, you are probably like most: catching yourself talking out your problems to them, deciding what to cook for dinner, or debating a daily debacle. My point is, our pets act as our sounding boards to our daily life stress…which is something we all are experiencing quite a lot of lately.
What is even funnier, we believe they hear us and know exactly what we are talking about. They look at us intently with those big wise eyes, cock their head slightly to the right, and have a sense of urgency and understanding. So we talk more, holding out an entire conversation with a fuzzy furball… and sometimes discover the solutions to our problems just by talking them out.
Albeit, this is a quick snippet of introductory to a fun future of pet blogging, I think this bit is a necessary and reflective one. Our pets are creatures that do have the power to speak a great language: without ever sputtering a single word. They keep us sane in a crazed world, they love us unconditionally: only wanting love in return.
