Time to start planning for HSGA's Bark In The Park!

Bark in the Park is Back!

SATURDAY, MAY 14, 2011

Springfield Lake Park

Annual Dog Walk & Pet Expo 11am - 3pm

Registration begins 11am • Walk begins 12pm

Bark in the Park, Pawsibilities®, the Humane Society of Greater Akron’s annual pledge walk, is a chance for you and your pet to enjoy a walk together and to benefit the homeless animals in Summit County. Proceeds help pets who are abused, neglected, adandoned or injured, assist our humane officers in investigating animal cruelty, and will also help in providing educational and

outreach programs to the community.


Registration Fee: $5 per person, children under 12 are free. No fee for pets. Register online at Go to the Bark in the Park link under Events tab. We challenge each walker to raise $100. Do so and you’ll receive a 2011 Bark in the Park T-shirt and a bandana for your pet.

Individual and Team Fundraising Prizes

Ribbons will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place Individual Adult, Youth, and Team. The 1st place Team will receive 12 Field Box Tickets to a 2011 Cleveland Indians Game. The winning Corporate Team will receive a Trophy.

Pet Expo

The Pet Expo will be loads of fun with a wide variety of enjoyable activities, contest, demonstrations, vendor booths & food. This year Pawsibilities®, HSGA will be offering low cost pet microchipping. Unable to walk the day of event

If you are unable to walk the day of the event, you can still create a fundraising page online and collect donations. Go to: Search for the Bark In The Park link under the Events tab
