Wine fest in Hudson to benefit Humane Society of Greater Akron

More than 250 wines will be on display this weekend at the Hudson Wine Festival, which helps to raise money for the Humane Society of Greater Akron.

The event begins with a VIP reception from 6 to 10 p.m. Friday, and continues from 1 to 9 p.m. Saturday and 1 to 6 p.m. Sunday. It includes live music, food, wine seminars and exhibits. The events are held on Village Way in downtown Hudson, beside the Hudson Library and Historical Society in the First & Main Shopping District.

Festival tickets are $20 in advance, $25 at the door, and include 10 tastes of wine plus a souvenir glass. Weekend passes are $30 in advance and $35 at the door. Tickets for the VIP event are $90 in advance, $100 at the door, and include a weekend pass.

Advance tickets can be purchased in Hudson at Green Roots Collection, InStyle Accessories and the Learned Owl Book Shop, at Heinen's locations in Hudson, Aurora, Twinsburg and Brecksville, at the Humane Society or online at http://www.hudsonwinefestival.com.
