According to the USA Today Ad Meter, there was no more popular Super Bowl ad than the Budweiser commercial, "Brotherhood," featuring the company's famous Clydesdale horses.
Just what makes it such a good commercial? The story of a young horse reuniting with its owner after going pro as a deliverer of beer? Is it simply an allegory for the dependability the Budweiser brand? The perfect use of Fleetwood Mac's "Landslide?" It's probably so good because it's all of those things.
Good thing for Anheuser-Busch. Of the six Super Bowl commercials the company had, three were rated by Ad Meter among the game's five worst commercials.
The big game is this weekend, and we don't mean the Super Bowl. That's right, we're talking about the puppy bowl. Lose the rest of your work day watching these adorable pups prep for their doggy showdown.
Tidy Cat recently came out with a new all-natural cat litter consisting of "corn cob by-product sourced from seed corn production, and cedar and pine recycled from construction, furniture, and window manufacturing whenever available."
They're teaming up with Michael Bolton to promote the new litter. Check out their video from Funny or Die:
ORLANDO, FLA.: When an Ohio woman packed her bags for a Disney vacation, her cat didn’t want to stay behind.
Sometime Monday, Bob-bob the cat found his way into Ethel Maze’s suitcase, made it through screening at Port Columbus International Airport and was loaded into an airplane for a flight to Orlando.
The Orlando Sentinel reports the black cat popped out when Maze unzipped her bag after checking into her hotel Monday night. Maze, of Circleville, Ohio, says the 14-month-old cat was shaken but still purring.
Maze was part of a group of disabled veterans and volunteers making an annual trip to Orlando.
Mike Groleau, who handled the bags for the group, says he thought he saw the bag move, but loaded it along with the other bags heading to Orlando.
This is one of those build-up videos. At first you're not going to be sure what to look at. Will a dog steal the child's blankey? Will the child want the dog's scarf? Then, suddenly, surprise ending. M. Night Shyamalan would be proud of the twist.
Some in Rome are helping their dogs beat the heat by eating gelato, the sweet Italian version of ice cream. But instead of dairy or sugar that can harm a dog's health, these pooches eat gelato made with rice flour and yogurt.
It's nearly impossible to watch this video and not have an appreciation for those who adopt animals. Despite being shot in the spine during a home robbery in Chicago, Red the pit bull lives a happy life thanks to a loving owner and a custom-built car.
