Kent State at Miami

Tipoff: 7:30 p.m. at Oxford Hall in Oxford, Ohio.

Records: Kent State is 13-3 overall, 2-0 in the Mid-American Conference; Miami is 6-8, 0-2.

Coaches: Jim Christian (123-54) is in his sixth season at Kent State; Charlie Coles (291-233) is in his 12th season at Miami.

Notebook: Kent State is coming off a 63-49 victory over visiting Bowling Green on Saturday at the M.A.C. Center. Sophomore guard Chris Singletary scored a game-high and career-high 20 points. The win was the Golden Flashes' 10th consecutive at home this season. . . . Miami, last season's MAC champion, has lost four in a row, including an 0-2 start in the conference with losses to Akron and Ohio. The RedHawks are coming off a five-game road trip and return home for the first time since Dec.18. . . . Miami owns an 81-38 advantage in the all-time series that dates to the 1948-49 season. Kent State has won five of the past seven meetings, has a 15-7 mark against the RedHawks since the 1997-98 season and won the game last year 61-45 at the M.A.C. Center.
