• Today, Sunday — The Berlin Bass Casters Fishing and Outdoor Expo will be at the Minerva Community Center, 300 E. First St., Minerva. Admission is $2. Under 14 are free. • Today, Sunday — Niles Sportsman's Fishing and Hunting Super Show and Sale returns to the Eastwood Expo Center, located behind Eastwood Mall off state Route 46 in Niles. Show hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. today and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. Cost is $5; under 12 are free. Parking is free. • March 7 — The Tusky River Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation, will hold its annual banquet at Raintree Country Club, 4350 Mayfair Road, Uniontown. There will be a live and silent auction with many raffle prizes. Tickets are $60 each or $80 per couple. Each ticket includes a meal and a one-year membership to the NWTF and Turkey Call Magazine. • March 8 — The Buckeye Outdoors Youth Education and Shooting Center is hosting a Prime Rib Dinner and Reverse Raffle. The grand prize is $1,000. The proceeds will be used to promote firearms safety, youth shooting sports, and outdoors education for the whole family. The all-you-can-eat dinner will be held at the Ohio Sportsmen Club, 1775 Jacoby Road, Copley Township. Ticket donations are $40 each. The social hour begins at 6 p.m.; dinner starts at 7 p.m.; and the drawings begin at 8 p.m. For tickets, contact Harvey Bechtel at 330-658-4241 or Brad Harker at 330-855-1174.

Doors open at 4:30 p.m.; dinner begins at 6 p.m. Tickets, which include dinner and a one-year membership in the NWTF are $50 each, $70 per couple, and $25 for youths 17 and under. Information: http://www.sportandtravel.com. • March 15 — The Cleveland Museum of Natural History, 1 Wade Oval Drive, Cleveland, is hosting its 30th annual Trout Club Banquet. The evening begins at 6 p.m. and will include raffles and auctions for trips, loges and outdoor equipment. The Trout Club has contributed to many charitable conservation organizations and cold-water fisheries and has developed youth fly fishing educational programs and fly tying programs. HUNTER ED
Those purchasing an Ohio hunting license for the first time must complete the hunter education course. Additionally, Ohio hunters seeking licenses in other states may be required to show proof that they completed such a course. No charge. Information: 800-WILDLIFE (800-945-3543).
• Summit County — The Chippewa Trap Club is hosting a free Ohio Hunter Education Course on March 10, 11, and 13. The course will be held at the Ohio Sportmen's Club, 1775 Jacoby Road, Copley Township. Each class is from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. The course will consist of lectures, discussions, demonstrations, and hands-on training. Students must pass a written exam to successfully pass the course. Students 10 years old and younger must be accompanied by an adult, age 18 or older. To register, contact the Ohio Division of Wildlife at 800-WILDLIFE.
