She wants house, car, cash in divorce

The wife of Alex Rodriguez wants to know if the New York Yankees star hired private detectives or installed wiretaps to spy on her.
Cynthia Rodriguez's lawyers demanded evidence of any such surveillance as part of a routine request filed in Miami-Dade Circuit Court last week in their divorce case.
The document asks for any tape recordings, photographs, reports from investigators or results from possible wiretaps ''or other electronic surveillance conducted by you or others on your behalf.''
Alex Rodriguez's attorney didn't immediately respond to an e-mail seeking comment.
Cynthia Rodriguez filed for divorce last week after more than five years of marriage, citing her husband's alleged infidelity. She wants their $12 million waterfront mansion in Coral Gables, a luxury SUV, alimony and financial support for their two young daughters.
Alex Rodriguez has been linked in various tabloid reports to Madonna, though both have denied a romantic relationship.
More MLB: Matsui might need surgery
• Hideki Matsui's left knee swelled, increasing the possibility he will need season-ending surgery and perhaps giving the New York Yankees reason to contemplate signing Barry Bonds. General manager Brian Cashman said that Matsui was running out of options to rehabilitate his knee, which has sidelined him since June 22 and kept him from playing the outfield since June 15. Cashman rarely rules out any options, so he wouldn't exclude adding Bonds, who has offered to play at the minimum salary, but has been shunned by all 30 major-league teams.
Football: New deal for Mangino
• Kansas gave coach Mark Mangino a raise and extended his contract two years, amending his deal to raise his compensation to $2.3 million per year. The contract now runs through 2012.
• The Tennessee Titans and All Pro defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth failed to reach an agreement on a long-term contract by the deadline for franchised players. Now Haynesworth must decide when, and if, to sign the tender paying him $7.25 million for the season with the Titans opening camp July 25.
• The Oakland Raiders and star cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha failed to agree on a long-term contract before the deadline for franchised players. Asomugha is guaranteed more than $9 million in 2008.
• Dallas Cowboys safety Ken Hamlin agreed on a $39 million, six-year deal, with about $15 million guaranteed.
• The Chicago Bears signed running back Kevin Jones to a one-year deal.
Other: Camby traded to Clippers
• The Los Angeles Clippers have acquired center Marcus Camby from the Denver Nuggets in exchange for a future second-round draft pick.
• The Golden State Warriors signed first-round pick Anthony Randolph.
• The Orlando Magic signed veteran free-agent point guard Anthony Johnson.
• Los Angeles Lakers forward Luke Walton will undergo surgery to remove bone spurs from his right ankle on Friday.
• Steve Peterson, NASCAR's technical director who spent 13 years helping make the circuit safer for drivers, was found dead in his home in Concord, N.C., on Tuesday. He was 58.
• Gyorgy Kolonics, a canoeing gold medalist at the 1996 and 2000 Olympics, died Tuesday in Budapest, Hungary, after collapsing in his canoe while training for the Beijing Games. He was 36.
• Pedro Pablo Perez, 31, a star Cuban cyclist who competed at the Sydney Olympics, is in a coma after a car crash and will miss the Beijing Games.
• Detroit Red Wings forward Dallas Drake announced his retirement.
• The New York Rangers agreed to terms with restricted free-agent forward Dan Fritsche.
• Phoenix Coyotes center Martin Hanzal is scheduled to have back surgery on Thursday.
