Louisville to honor former sports stars
Louisville High School will induct four members into its Athletic Hall of Fame prior to its Sept. 19 home football game against West Branch.
The ceremony will begin at 6:30 p.m., with a postgame reception at the high school.
Inductees, their graduation year, sports played and a career highlight are:
• Robert Bardash; 1963; football, basketball and track; played on the undefeated 1962 Tri-County Conference championship football team and rushed for more than 1,000 yards and scored 144 points.
• Thomas Edwards IV; 1956; football, baseball and basketball; played on the 1956 Tri-County Conference championship basketball team.
• Rod Hoover; 1980; football; named 1979 Federal League football Player of the Year.
• Dan Simon; 1975; football, basketball and track; two-time All-Federal League running back who played on 1974 league championship team.
