The Browns suspended Kellen Winslow for one game.
They should go further and give him the release that he desires.
Winning isn't worth what Winslow has put the Browns through the past couple of weeks.
General Manager Phil Savage made that clear during an overly emotional radio interview Thursday morning on WTAM (1100-AM). It wasn't what Savage said, because he didn't reveal a lot, but how he said certain things that make this plain.
And given the circumstances that led to his speaking, it's understandable Savage was upset.
Just like it's apparent that the Browns were right to suspend Winslow, that his actions warranted the suspension.
Winslow can talk all he wants about staph and how he wants to look out for his teammates.
His public display was about protecting himself and about his desire to leave the Browns.
He's an amazingly talented player with a drive to be great. I've been one of his biggest supporters, for good on-field reasons.
But things off the field have reached a point where the Browns as a team had to take the stand they did. Now it's time to take a stronger one.
Savage explained that because of legal issues and federal HIPAA laws, the team could not reveal the nature of Winslow's illness without his approval.
''Given the nature of this situation, it seemed that the people involved wouldn't want it out there,'' Savage said.
Savage also called Winslow's condition a ''nonfootball illness that occurred during the bye week.''
He added: ''Our hands are tied in certain situations on these medical things. It was all agreed upon.''
Agreed upon by Winslow and his ''people.''
After spending several days in the hospital, Winslow returned to the Browns and practiced Oct. 16.
He agreed that things should be kept quiet. By Friday he was hinting that the team wanted it quiet, not him.
By Sunday he played in a loss, and, as Savage said, ''the whole thing changed.''
Coach Romeo Crennel then talked to Winslow on the team plane and told him no more. After landing, Winslow was more inflammatory with ESPN.com.
This all happened a few days after the Oct. 14 trading deadline had passed. Winslow told the Browns before the deadline that he wanted a trade — he was unhappy his contract had not been renegotiated.
Nobody would give anything for him.
Is it just a coincidence that he started to be vocal once he realized that he would be with the Browns for the rest of this season, and maybe for the rest of his contract, which runs through 2010?
I hardly think so.
The only way to get himself out of Cleveland would be to be disruptive. He was, and Savage clearly seethed that in doing so Winslow questioned the Browns' desire and approach in trying to control staph infections.
For those who advocate freedom of speech, well freedom of speech is a tenuous concept, at best, in a private workplace.
Winslow questioned the team's integrity.
Savage was extremely emotional about naming the people who work for the Browns.
Is there a better way to defend people, and was there a better way for Savage to approach the interview?
No doubt. It would be nice if Savage had met with the entire media crew and not his hand-picked forum. At one point he even ticked off his job responsibilities, and said, ''Now that's a big job.'' Those who have lost their jobs in the past year must feel great sympathy.
How about this? ''We feel we had good reason to suspend him. We stand by it. Now let's talk about Jacksonville'' That would have worked, no?
But, that doesn't mean Savage's emotions were not genuine.
''For us to be characterized in this way on a national stage is absolutely unacceptable,'' Savage said. ''And that's why we did what we did.''
Note that on Wednesday when his teammates were asked about Winslow, not one expressed concern about the team's approach to staph, and not one came to Winslow's defense.
That's not an accident.
Savage and Crennel said they would welcome Winslow back, provided that he's not disruptive and that he is productive.
It's too late.
The Browns are a 2-4 team with Winslow playing while worried about his contract.
What will they be with him playing while obsessed about getting out of Cleveland?
It's too bad the option to keep him inactive the rest of the season — a la the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Keyshawn Johnson — is no longer there. (That move does not exist under the current NFL collective bargaining agreement.)
So release him.
Winslow can find out what he's worth on the open market, and the Browns can move on.

The Browns suspended Kellen Winslow for one game.
Get the full article here.
Expected advice from a bad writer and terrible football strategist. Why would you just cut winslow and get nothing? Idiot.
The Browns have not won very many games when Winslow actually played. He has a few good games, very few.
And he is immature with his big mouth. He aught to go talk to his Mom and minister and get things put back in perspective.
Maybe he would be happier playing for Tampa or L.A.
I really expected better from you. Freedom of speech is freedom of speech!!!!! In a city full of hard working, many of them blue collar, workers, I don't understand why so many people favor management. This is a health issue and Winslow was right to tell us that it was management that wanted it hushed. Whenever I commanded, oversaw or managed people, I was deeply concerned with their health, particularly if in any way their work environment contributed to an illness. Winslow is a very hard working receiver in a sport where ego is prevalent among the better receivers. He still works hard at keeping in shape, has played with pain, and catches passes in dangerous situations. Shame on you for siding with Savage.
william you are 100% correct.
pat you have lost your mind. quit your job and do what your mind is suited for.......flipping burgers
william- have you ever heard of addition by subtraction? we don't know what it is like in the locker room. on the surface you are correct but there is usually more to the story.
hilel-
what if the illness was gotten from another tatoo?
Great article and obviously the truth. You do not need anyone like Winslow in any organization no matter how good they may be. He hasn't proved anything yet, his whole previous contract was based on potential, however he cannot stay healthy nor keep his mouth shut. He should give the money back the Browns paid him while he was trying to ride a bike and injured himself. TE are a dime a dozen and Heiden would be just fine
It's too bad this team is still a mess. I hold the coach responsible. Kellen is a good player but hasn't done much. Lack of disipline from the coach is the problem. I mean how can you keep Anderson as a starter?? He can't get the ball to anyone correctly, and Winslow and Edwards drop it when does get lucky, like he was lucky last season.
No way Pat ,you do not give away players that will come back next week playing for the Steelers or Baltimore ! I think the Indians letting talent walk away for free and not getting anything in return is bad enough . This is a business, yes he is a disruption ,and trying to get sympathy in a down economy when you are making over $3,600,000 a year is pretty stupid on his part.Especially since most of his injuries are probably related to his choice to break his contract by doing stunts on a motorcycle .The Browns missed their window of opportunity to release him after his stupid stunt ,which spoke volumes about his character.
ABJ needs to release Patrick McMahon from his contract. Reason: He is a terrible sports writer.
Winslow may not be the smartest guy in the world but one thing can not be argued - he gives 100% everyday and plays his heart out on Sundays. He is not disrupting the locker room, he respects his teammates. Just like you at your job, it is nobody elses concern if he is unhappy about is compensation. Releasing him would be the dumbest move in Browns history.
Release an incumbent Pro Bowler? For nothing at all? What a complete boob. Let's do that and then watch Pittsburgh pick him up the first day of free agency. Winslow is worth second and third round picks AT THE VERY LEAST. And let's not forget - if they hadn't wasted millions on Derek Anderson, they would have had the $$$ to give Winslow the contract he wants.
Great suggestion...it's obvious Winlow's disruptive behavior is the reason the Browns suck yet again this season.
I am wonder if the Browns had a better season, Winslow would had never made the comments. Winslow needs to learn to think before speaking. I am sure other Brown's players may be thinking the same thing, but they are using their brains and keeping their mouths shut. I am also wondering how come Winslow is alway sick. His teammates seem to be in better health. Is Winslow not taking care of himself and trying to blame on the Browns?
Hilel - Do you even know what HIPPA is? It is ILLEGAL to release ANY medical information without the individual's consent. They can't tell other players and they can't tell the general public. This has NOTHING to do with management hushing the matter up - it has to do with what they are legally allowed to do. Winslow was the only one allowed to provide that information and he used it to advance his own agenda. I don't favor releasing him but I wouldn't go out of my way to play him either at this point but Savage should let the coach make that decision. This is not an issue of paying Winslow what he wants. For all of you that represent you as hard working blue collar individuals why are you so quick to take up sides with a guy who is just out to make more $$$? He signed the contract, no one made him do it and he messed himself up by taking stupid risks. Life is about choices and he made his. The Browns have not been unfair to him and he needs to man up and live up to the rest of his contract - then he can go out and sign a multi-million dollar contract with some other team.
Hey Pat what are you thinking ? Hopefully you wrote the article just to get some feedback. He is worth "something" to another team and to release him would not be a bright thing to do. Winslow might even be right with some of his comments, this organization is a mess starting at the top. All he wants to do is win. He gives it everything he has on the field and probably reached his limit with the infection and the Brown's cover up. Winslow has made some dumb mistakes but he's a tough productive player. Weight watch....If Crennel "explodes" we will lose half of the team on the sidelines, one line judge, two assistant coaches and the first four rows of fans in the stands....
william,
Don't hate on P-Mac.
That is all.
Pat - wow. all I can say is wow.
K2 plays all year last year with aching parts, and nver once sits out. Guys like Donte Stallworth miss the first 4 games of the season with injury.
Don't you think that Winslow's record of dedication on the field should give him a free pass to be a jerk every once in a while?
We're not talking about TO here...Winslow has been dedicated to this team, watched guys like Braylon Edwards act like idiots the first 2 years of his carreer...watched other guys sit out injured...or first round picks that don't produce.
In fact, i think that Braylon Edwards saying "we underestimated the redskins..." is worse than what Winslow said...UNDERESTIMATED A 4-2 team?! wow.
Obviously as a Browns fan, i hope this gets smoothed over. Winslow is not Shockey - he's better.
And i belive more dedicated.
CCLEVELAND SUCKS!
Seattle is desperate for a fast big play wide receiver...money is no object...and they have draft choices and some quality Defensive Backs.
Heck we dumped Frye on them...Lets give them another chance to say yes.
Winslow or Edwards ...Especially Edwards. would be a good choice for Seattle.
Pat,
He needs to go, but we can get a quality LB for him. See Albert Belle, Jim Thome, Manny Ramirez. We don't need anymore top players leaving for nothing in return.
Gotta support Phil for not redoing his contract years early, it sets a bad precedent for Jones, Edwards, Cribbs, etc. That is the basis for his complaining, his contract situation.
Pat, never give Winslow away, hell wouldn't Al Davis trade for him, he takes all of the other headcases?
I love KII on the field, he's a great player, but a lousy human. He thrives on the conflict and headlines, just look at his choices for an agent. He goes from the Postons (remember them, "It's just bidness") to Rosenhaus.
He's made a series of bad decisions and his father hasn't given him any moral compass his entire life either, remember the presser after his motorcycle accident? No admission of wrongdoing, just attack the media and fans. Cocky, ego-driven jerks.
That said, the team has way too much invested in him to give him away. Teams will underbid to steal him and we can't afford to give players away. If you trade him for picks in the off-season, send him to a horrible team and let him lose quietly for the next couple of years, out of the limelight and on regional tv. That's punishment for a glory hog.
People need to read between the lines here. The most important parts of Savage's talk and Pat's article are the things that weren't stated. This situation is only about staph because K2 made it about staph when he fired off after the Washington game. The reson he did that had absolutely NOTHING to do with concern for his teammates. If any of you knew the details of why he went into the hospital in the first place, you would be outraged at his behavior and betrayal of the team who has been better to him than almost any other club would. I think the Browns should try to get something for K2, but there's no way he belongs on this team anymore. The problem will be finding a team who is willing to take on a tight end with not much time left in the league because of injuries who has a habbit of burning his team because of selfishness and immaturity.
This is the DUMBEST thing I have ever heard!!! This writer should be released!!!
seriously.... you should be fired. worst article ever by possibly the worst writer. i would rather listen to a 5 year old's advice which may be more logical. the Browns tried to cover up for the Cleveland Clinic and Winslow got hit with STD rumors. They did nothing for him. right or wrong in this case, you are still an idiot!!!!
Ryan i totaly agree with your 1st paragragh. McMoron. cut the bass terd
McManamon may not be the smartest guy in the world but one thing cannot be argued - he gives 100% everyday and writes his heart out in the blogs. He is not disrupting the copy room; he respects his peers and editors.
As for Winslow, I think the Browns have cut him enough slack and have grossly overpaid him during his period of self-inflicted motorcycle injuries. A good teammate doesn't disrespect his teammates, coaches, and fans by engaging in baby games on a motorcycle.
Let the Steelers pick him up. Then he can sit on the bench behind Heath Miller and learn how to block.
And don't let all of this become a smokescreen for the REAL problem! http://RomeoMustGo.com .
A lot of you guys need to chill out. Expressing a well formed opinion does not make someone a bad writer or an idiot. Even if you don't agree, calling someone names because of that is just plain foolish. Now, with that said, I strongly disagree with Pat. You have to get something for Winslow. I understand the whole "he's a team disruption" thing but letting a player of that caliber walk is selling yourself short. This season is over anyway. I would like to see if this thing between Winslow and the Browns can be worked out. I think it starts with a heartfelt apology delivered by Winslow himself, not through some press release put out by his agent. If things don't get better, then you trade him after the season.
I agree with both of Michael's assessments of Pat"s article.I don't think the other readers understand what factual reporting is.Pat your was right on except you have to get something for K2 or you'll be giving him and his butt-headed agent exactly what they want.
If the Bengals keep Johnson or Ocho Cinco or whatever the heck his stupid name is, and if the Cowboys keep T.O., why on EARTH would it be ok for the Browns to get rid of K2? So he mouthed off. I don't blame him. I'd be mad too. Quit making a big deal over nothing. Poor media like this article is how rumors get startest. Releasing K2 = dumbest idea ever.
If Winslow got released right now, who is really going to pick him up? He wouldn't pass any teams' physical. The Steelers? Yea, right. What the Steelers have that the Browns don't is excellent team chemistry. Steelers wouldn't let Winslow disrupt that now.
Isn't K2 a brand of skis? Guess they call him that because he is going down hill too.
What's up with all the personal attacks on Pat? This is a column and he's hired to express his views. The comment section is the readers' opportunity to do the same, but the ire is somewhat shocking.
That said, I'm with the majority and don't agree that someone with K2's value should just be released. Trade him in the offseason if you must, but make sure the Browns get something for all the time and effort they've put into this malcontent.
Right or wrong (opinion), keep on expressing your thoughts, Pat.
Great idea, Patrick. This would leave us without Winslow and nothing in return. Of course, our reward would be to keep the clueless headcoach, zoned-out Anderson, and the marginal GM. Not a problem, though, because the owner will simply ship over some of his soccer players. Assuming news of the Browns season reaches him in London.
IDIOTIC STATEMENT
Release Winslow? Are you serious? Your feelings are soooo hurt that you'd release a 25 year old tight end who has caught 171 passes over the last two years? Or is it possible that a married man like KII who had to hear rumors about swollen nads and STD (implying infidelity) while the Browns remained silent got fed up with the diseased career threatening facility in Berea and his employer not even issuing a statement along the lines of "all the rumors are untrue, and the Cleveland Browns remain committed to honoring Kellen's request for privacy"? Now did Kellen go too far? Of course he did. He comes from privilege and is used to being treated like a prince. when things don't go his way, he wines. But that doesn't mean you release one of the most talented, if not the most, tight ends in the game.
I agree with Tim and Big. Release him and for what? So he can get what he wants? No, hold hm to his contract. Make him stay. Two things will happen: 1. He will grow up,and play Pro Bowl caliber football for the next two and a half years. 2. He will continue to self destruct and end up like Pacman Jones and suspend him self out hte door, saving the Browns lots of money along the way. I go for the later. Heiden and Tucker along with Dinkins can carry the load just fine.
And Pat, by the way, you are not a bad writer, you're HORRIBLE. OMG seems to have more on the ball than you do anymore.
I think flipping burgers would require too much brain activity for you. Releasing K2 would be the same as donating your home to Goodwill because your teenage children were too unruly and you couldn't control them. Not a very wise investment strategy. Talented players with the drive to be champions are hard to find and rare in Cleveland Browns recent history. Better communication would get everybody back on the same page and committed to doing what they are paid to do: win football games.
As a side note, Randy Lerner has to be the poorest excuse for an owner that I have ever observed. The ship could be sinking and he is nowhere to be found. As much money as he has invested in his franchise, he deserves better for his investment. It's about time he had the kahunas to stand up and be counted.
WINSLOW IS A CANCER THAT NEEDS TO BE CUT OUT, GOTTEN RID OF AND NEVER THOUGHT OF AGAIN.
Hey Pat, I bet you sell your stocks when they bottom out too, huh? Wait til the value is higher than sell. Winslow has to play to get market value. The Browns are better off throwing him the ball more so thay can cash in on him.
Pat- I usually dig your stuff but this is trash. I realize you're just spouting off to get some feedback, but you can't honestly think that releasing Winslow mid-season is a good idea. Dumb.
Trade him after the season, which looks like it's heading down the tubes anyway (unless we can go 8-2 from here on). Get something for him before his career is over in 5 years anyway.
When you have incompetent management dealing with egotisical employees this is the inevitable result. Winslow manipulated a legal situation that prohibited the Browns from releasing information concerning his medical condition making it seem that the team was 'hushing up' another staph infection for no other reason other than to pressure Savage into reacting as he did. Winslow and his agent are orchastrating this little drama to force the team to deal with his contract issue. I compliment his agent since he probably cooked this one up. Releasing this guy is without a doubt the dumbest move the team can make but don't be surprised if it happens. After all they did hire Crennel, undoubtedly the most overwhelmed head coach in NFL history.
I wonder if he'd be fussing for a new contract if he was injured or under performing? Would he accept LESS payment then? A contract is a contract for a reason. You agreed to pay for that x dollars over y amount of years. Deal with it. And it's not even like he's not getting 6 figure raises EACH YEAR!
In response to Hilel's comment... you're management v. labor logic is inane. You're allegiance to overpaid entertainers defies the spirit of the principle.
KW broke an agreement. The media should have been a last resort. KW will always have an open mic as long as he's in NFL. His intention was to disrupt the team, and I think it's obvious cohesiveness is the only path to success in the NFL.
Hilel - you're a moron. Please don't vote, raise a child, or operate heavy machinery.
J.V. - Va Beach
If my neighbor would say something so stupid as release a probowl player and get nothing because the player spoke out about his own injury, I would walk away from him and avoid talking sports with him in future.
I hate to say this as a lifelong Clevelander and Browns fan, but we have become babies. As soon as someone says something we don't like, "let's just release him." We used to be tough, now we want players to kiss our arses. Who cares what they say, he performs on the field.
And this agreement thing...why would the Browns want to hide this from everyone? If they thought they have done everything right, why hide it? Winslow did not go the Browns and ask that this be kept secret. The Browns let him twist in the wind while rumors of VD and infected genitals swirled. I would have spoke up too.
This is a self-inflected problem the Browns as a whole created and getting rid of Winslow for nothing is plain dumb.
Jim - Why didn't Kellen make an effort to talk to management about airing this? Yes, rumors abound, but it should have been handled differently by all.
Phil's actions displayed questionable judgement while Kellen's displayed contempt. Both resulted in creating at least the appearance of a team in chaos, and neither reflect well on the future of the Browns as it exists. Releasing a malcontent would be one possible course of action taken by a GM at this point. Likewise, releasing a poor decision maker might be an appropriate action by an taken by an owner.
J.V. - Va Beach
J.V. - Yes, Kellen is culpable is this whole mess. He should have went to management, but I did read he talked to Savage while still in his uniform before the outburst. I wonder what was said there. Anyway, I think cutting him is throwing out the baby with the bathwater. He absolutely does have value in the marketplace and it is managements responsibilty to realize that value either on the field or through some trade for draft picks.
I have been in Savage's corner in just about every instance, but I am dumbfounded in this case. Beside the created problem of a 'cover-up,' he is letting emotion torpedo any kind of a future with the Browns. Why not just say "we are suspending him but expect to have him on the field soon" or something instead of going on the radio and further tearing down a relationship. I am surprised and disappointed by this whole thing because it was so unnecessary.
That should read "torpedo any kind of future between Winslow and the Browns."
This is a different Joseph: I don't doubt that Winslow is a pain in the a.. sometimes, but he's a good player. About HIPPA, doesn't the weekly injury report that teams are required to complete violate HIPPA laws too? I don't know that we'll ever know the truth about this unless you personally know someone that was there. Anybody know any of the players personally?
Craig: K2 is a company that made skis. The company was purchased about a year ago. Don't know if they'll keep the brand name.
JUST SHUDDUP AND THROW HIM THE BALL FROM MR.INCONSISTENT=Savage sukks !
pat: these are the readers that are left after pluto and windhorst left. i feel your pain.
Pat,
You are the only reason I come back to the Beacon Urinal, keep speaking your mind and write it the way you see it. That's your job and the controversy that surrounds it is good. I read this staph occured during the bye week and was "non football related". More to come on this?
Pat, what you suggest is absolutely insane. Winslow is one of the best players on this pathetic team. We've put up with 10 seasons of pathetic teams, pathetic coaches and pathetic front offices. The current Browns management and their Gestapo tactics make me want to puke. Winslow is a distraction, but not the root cause of what is going on with this joke of a team. Maybe you should suggest getting rid of Savage and RAC. That would get you closer to the real problems on this team.
Pat,
Since when does an NFL franchise count as a private workplace? Everything the team and their players do is made public at a moment's notice! We know more about most of our NFL stars than we do about our politicians! Kellen is entitled to speak his mind, just as you are entitled to states your opinion in your column. I respect your opinion, but I think releasing Winslow is the wrong move.
If the Browns release him now, they would send a signal to the rest of the league that they are not willing to accomodate any player who questions team management, in today's sports world that's a dangerous signal to send because it can prevent you from being able to sign any big name players. That's exactly why the Bengals put up with Chad Johnson and the Cowboys put up with T.O., who have done a lot worse than what Winslow did.
I agree that Winslow should have handled this privately, but Savage's outburst made the situation worse and that's not what management should be doing. Savage needs to focus his attention on why a 10-6 team that looked so good at the end of last season, is now 2-4 and looks so terrible this season. I agree that the Browns should get rid of Winslow, but they should do it because he is overrated, not because of this last incident. Winslow may desire greatness, but his off-field antics and his proneness for injury will prevent that from happening. The Browns should wait until the end of the season and then trade him to fill a need or for some draft picks. They can't afford to make the mistake the Indians made when they let Manny and Thome leave with nothing in return. Phil Savage is a smart man and a good GM. I am confident he will get the Browns back on track, but he needs to stay calm and ride out the storm. Winning some games wouldn't hurt either.
Get rid of Winslow. This whole thing was orchestrated by Drew Rosenhaus.
Let Kellen get back on his motorcycle and ride out of town. Good riddance.
Winslow is the best friend the Browns HAVE right now. Without him they'd be forced to answer other questions instead: why the team is playing so abysmally, why they're ranked so badly in penalties, why they're plagued by such consistency problems.
I love Kellen. And I don't want to have to buy a new Browns jersey. Yes, he says things that he shouldn't sometimes. But he to my knowledge has never bashed a teammate or a coach. Even in this situation he didn't really bash Savage. He complained about the organization's handling of a situation. And why shouldn't he? It's his health and welfare. His comment that Savage never checked on him might seem a little trivial. But he's on the field risking injury every week and has already gone through a lot with his knees and broken leg. Is it very much to ask that Savage check in when he has this infection? Then Savage gets his panties in a wad about it and suspends K2.
I think they should renegotiate his deal. He is one of the top 3 players at his position in the league. Why would you want to lose a guy like that?
That being said. If they do get rid of him, they HAVE to get something in return for him. This is sounding like the Bentley saga all over again.
Look at what the LIONS got for Roy Williams who was drafted 1 spot behind K2. They got 3 draft picks, including a first rounder. We should be able to get a similiar if not better package. I would say Kellen has been more productive than Williams has been.
But in the end I say, keep Kellen and make him happy. He has said he wants to stay and likes his teamates.
I don't think anyone is bashing pat for one story. my god several weeks ago he wrote an article stating the browns fans should root for steelers cut him now
HEY PAT.
SOUNDS TO ME LIKE THE ONE WHO SHPOULD BE RELEASED IS YOU!
Suspension of Winslow should be disallowed nobody should be penalized for speaking the truth. To many players before Winslow kept quite on this staph infections an are now without careers or still fighting the infections your health is nothing to trifle with kudos for Kellen.
I don't want to pile on Pat, so let me just say -Winning sports programs need to have as many plus players as possible. K2 is a plus player, & yes he at times acts immature-spoiled or whatever you want to call it.
So what. There are many players who have issues and to throw a plus player to the curb because at times he acts childish would be the sign of an incompetent GM. If savage wnats him gone, he better get something of value for him. And if he can't Savage is going to have to develop a thicker skin.
Regards
Frank
Pat
One more point. This is something that should have been handled by the team (player) leadership. It should not have reached the fans. So a public relations woman, whose job it is - is to act as a muzzle - if you will- on players saying things that team does not want reporters to know.
As a reporter should not the fact that temas try to muzzle their players offend a reporter whose job it is - to get the facts.
The bottom line is that PR people from time to time get verbally assaulted by emotional athletes.
To much was made of this!
Frank again
Well, after the Lerner apology, I hope that Pat feels silly. Such knee-jerk reaction. Does Pat actually do any research before giving an opinion? If not, I might as well listen to my chucklehead neighbor, amounts to the same thing.
Let him go....the Browns don't need someone who doesn't want to be here.. If he is so unhappy, do you really think he's going to give it his all??
Personally though, I don't think he deserved the suspension...that was stupid.
Your more emotional than Savage, dont make decisions with pure emotions. Seems to me that what you do with most of your articles. What possible good could come from releasing Winslow? Winslow is a difference maker on the field, I dont understand the logic of this. Guess it's good your a beat writer, and has no parts of decision making.
