Here is the final Akron Beacon Journal Power Poll. This year's poll champions, the Louisville Leopards, beat five teams that qualified for the playoffs and outscored their opponents 358-94.
1. Louisville (II, 10-0): The Leopards defeated Minerva 27-0 to finish as the only area team undefeated in the regular season. Next:
Columbus Independence.
2. North Canton Hoover (I, 9-1): The Vikings defeated Jackson 26-7 to win the Federal League title outright. Their only loss was Week 2 against Louisville. Next: Massillon.
3. Brunswick (I, 9-1): Brit Musal scored two touchdowns — giving him a school record 40 for his career — in a 31-7 win against Medina. Next: Nordonia.
4. Walsh Jesuit (III, 7-2): Armand Dehaney scored a touchdown on offense and defense as the Warriors defeated Warren Harding 21-9. Next: Field.
5. Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy (IV, 9-1): The Royals captured a share of their first PAC-7 title with a 21-14 win over Manchester. Next: at Youngstown Cardinal Mooney.
6. GlenOak (I, 8-2): The Golden Eagles had just enough to get past Federal League rival Perry 9-6. Next: Canton McKinley.
7. Highland (II, 9-1): The Hornets' bid for a 10-0 record came up short as Cloverleaf won 20-14 in double overtime. Next: Avon Lake.
8. Northwest (III, 8-2): In a tight Northeastern Buckeye Conference game, the Indians edged Alliance 15-14. Next: at Canton South.
9. Tuslaw (IV, 9-1): The Mustangs racked up 319 yards in total offense in a 27-6 win against Fairless. Next: Leavittsburg LaBrae.
10. Garfield (I, 8-2): The Rams claimed the City Series with a decisive 49-20 win against Buchtel; missed the playoffs in Region 2 by less than a half-point.
11. St. Vincent-St. Mary (IV, 7-3): After a 34-7 loss to powerful Youngstown Ursuline, the Irish missed the playoffs, too.
12. Mogadore (VI, 9-1): The Wildcats were tripped up by a determined East Canton team in Week 10, but still shared the PTC County Division title and earned a trip to the playoffs. Next: Leetonia.
13. Kent Roosevelt (II, 8-2): Tyler Lohr scored on a 20-yard touchdown to give the Rough Riders a 19-13 win in overtime. Next: at Mayfield.
14. Aurora (III, 8-2): Steven Yung gained 157 yards and scored three touchdowns in a 47-19 win against Wickliffe. Next: Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin.
15. Cloverleaf (II, 8-2): The Colts clinched the school's first playoff berth with a 20-14 double overtime win against previously unbeaten Highland. Can they beat another unbeaten opponent this week? Next: at Lexington.
16. Massillon (I, 6-4): The Tigers held archrival Canton McKinley to 50 yards rushing in a 17-0 win. Next: at North Canton Hoover.
17. Field (III, 8-2): Jay Lugo scored three touchdowns and Mike Ries had a strong game defensively (safety and touchdown) in a 45-7 win against Coventry. Next: at Walsh Jesuit.
