Malone at Northwestern (Minn.)
Kickoff: 8 p.m. today. Records: Malone is 6-3; Northwestern is 8-2.

Notes: Malone makes its third consecutive appearance in the National Christian College Athletic Association Victory Bowl tonight against Northwestern College, a Division III member from St. Paul, Minn. The game will take place at the Metrodome in Minneapolis. Malone will rely on its sixth-ranked NAIA offense that generated 459 yards per game during the 6-3 season. Quarterback Billy Bob Orsagh completed 61 percent of his passes for 2,599 yards and a school-record 25 touchdowns. Wide receiver Derek Deardoff caught 56 passes, 12 for touchdowns and ranked third in the NAIA with 107.6 reception yards per game. Northwestern lost its regular season finale 41-0 to the University of St. Thomas (Minn.). Northwestern makes its fourth Victory Bowl appearance.
