Outback Bowl
Iowa (8-4)
vs. South Carolina (7-5)
Site: Tampa, Fla.
Time/TV: 11 a.m., ESPN.
About the game: Iowa running back Shonn Greene goes against one of the SEC's top rushing defenses, but the Gamecocks were mediocre in the season's final month and the Hawkeyes were on fire.
Keep an eye on: Greene is making several All-America teams, but Iowa defensive tackle Mitch King was among the Big Ten's best.
Player goodies: Pure Digital Flip mini-camcorder, Fossil watch, Jostens ring.
Bowl rating: 2-star.
Gator Bowl
Nebraska (8-4)
vs. Clemson (7-5)
Site: Jacksonville, Fla.
Time/TV: 1 p.m., CBS.
About the game: Clemson coach Dabo Swinney looks to continue his winning ways in his first game without the interim label. The Cornhuskers also were at their best at the end of the season.
Keep an eye on: Tigers quarterback C.J. Spiller is a dual threat who might remind Nebraska fans a little of Virginia Tech quarterback Tyrod Taylor. He had a big game in leading the Hokies to a victory in Lincoln.
Player goodies: Bulova watch, Jostens ring, Oakley Split Thump MP3 sunglasses, fitted cap, two-piece Mercury Luggage rolling duffel and sling bag.
Bowl rating: 3-star.
Capital One Bowl
Michigan State (9-3)
vs. Georgia (9-3)
Site: Orlando, Fla.
Time/TV: 1 p.m., ABC.
About the game: Another good running back battle, this one between Michigan State's Javon Ringer and Georgia's Knowshon Moreno. Both sides also play a little defense, but the Bulldogs' is better.
Keep an eye on: Bulldogs quarterback Matthew Stafford. Mock drafts continue to have Stafford as the top quarterback. A good game here could solidify it.
Player goodies: Party at Best Buy, commemorative watch, $400 of spending at Best Buy.
Bowl rating: 3-star.
Rose Bowl
Penn State (11-1)
vs. Southern California (11-1)
Site: Pasadena, Calif.
Time/TV: 5 p.m., ABC.
About the game: No team owns a bowl like Southern California and the Rose. The Trojans have won 11 of their past 12 Rose Bowls and they've won the past two games here. Penn State is making its first visit since the 1994 season and the Lions have won five of their past six games.
Keep an eye on: Southern California linebacker Ray Maualuga, one of the nation's most dominant defenders.
Player goodies: Sony DVD camcorder, Fossil watch, Oakley sunglasses, New Era 59fifty hat, Ogio backpack, one-year ESPN the Magazine subscription.
Bowl rating: 5-star.
Orange Bowl
Virgina Tech (9-4)
vs. Cincinnati (11-2)
Site: Miami.
Time/TV: 8 p.m., FOX.
About the game: The Hokies return to the Orange Bowl in hopes of getting this one right after losing to Kansas last year. It's the first major bowl game for Cincinnati, perhaps its biggest sports moment since the 1992 Final Four.
Keep an eye on: Virginia Tech quarterback Tyrod Taylor. He has to play well for Tech to have a chance.
Player goodies: Gifting suite, $300 in Sony Electronics, Tourneau watch, New Era 59fifty hat, Crocs, Ogio backpack.
Bowl rating: 3-star.
