Coventry and Kent State product James Harrison plans to pass on another trip to the White House with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Harrison, the NFL Defensive Player of the Year, says he'll skip the Super Bowl champions' visit to the White House to meet President Barack Obama on Thursday, just as he did when the Steelers were honored by President George W. Bush in June 2006. Harrison said he doesn't believe the invitation is all that special, saying if the Steelers hadn't beaten the Cardinals 27-23 with a last-minute rally, Arizona would have been invited. The Steelers had no comment about Harrison's remarks. Steelers chairman Dan Rooney, an Obama supporter, has been nominated to be the U.S. ambassador to Ireland.

Who cares if Harrison doesn't go to Washington!
He's sending plenty from his NFL salary there because he's too dumb to hire a tax attorney. That's a better substitution anyhow.
Well, he isn't getting paid the big bucks for his brains.....
I wouldn't go either.
Harrison is not very bright as noted by his reason for refusal. I would love to meet the president. Any president for that matter. It would be something to pass along to my future grandchildren someday! He should just accept that the invite was given because it is a tradition. I think he is overthinking the situation. oh well.
LOL !!! WHATTA MAROON. .Typical Coventry, KSU Grad. . .Just like Cribbs. .
