Aeros rally in 8th again
to top Curve in Altoona
Aeros 7, Curve 4 — For the second time in the series, the Aeros rallied in the eighth inning for a come-from-behind victory against the host Altoona Curve.
The six-run eighth inning included a bases-clearing triple by John Drennen and a two-run shot by Jerad Head. Other notable hitters for Akron included Beau Mills, who hit a solo home run, and Jared Goedert who added an RBI single.
Carlton Smith gained the win, improving to 3-0 on the year, and Corey Hamman took the loss. Vinnie Pestano notched his 14th save of the year.
