Mike Costanzo broke a tie by hitting an RBI single in the bottom of the eighth inning that scored Robert Valido and lifted host Bowie to a win Friday.
Costanzo's hit came off Aeros relief pitcher Matt Meyer.
Bowie led 2-0 after scoring two runs in the second. Dave Krynzel scored the first run for the Bay Sox following a Guillermo Rodriguez ground out. Daniel Figueroa doubled in Ambiorix Concepcion with Bowie's second run. Krynzel singled and Concepcion doubled in the inning.
The Aeros countered with two runs in the third to tie the score at 2-2. Cristo Arnal singled in Jared Goedert with the Aeros' first run, and Jose Constanza scored following a Carlos Santana walk with the bases loaded. Goedert and Constanza each singled in the inning.
Bay Sox reliever Jim Hoey (1-2) earned the win after pitching two scoreless innings. He struck out two and allowed one hit.
Bay Sox starting pitcher Timothy Bascom allowed two earned runs and five hits over six innings. Closer Josh Perrault recorded his 15th save.
Aeros starting pitcher Josh Tomlin (8-5) took the loss after working seven innings. He allowed nine hits, three earned runs and one walk.
