GOLF EVENTS
• The Mel Riebe Memorial 4-Man Golf Scramble will be held at Riceland Golf Course on Aug. 1. The shotgun start begins at 7:30 a.m. and the cost is $50 per golfer or $200 per team. Call the Riceland Golf Course at 330-683-1876 for a tee time or call Erich Riebe at 330-698-5118 for more information.
• Teams are still being accepted for Ravenna High School's Classic at Windmill Lakes, an 18-hole golf event that will be held on Aug. 27. Interested schools should contact Terry Kekic at 330-296-3844 ext. 3026 or via e-mail at tkekic@ravenna.portage.k12.oh.us.
• The Meyers Lake YMCA golf outing will be held Aug. 17 at The Sactuary Golf Course in North Canton. This is a two person scramble/best ball and there is an open and senior division. Registration fee is $75 per person and includes golf, cart and lunch. Hole sponsorships are still available. Contact Shera Kile or Jeff Mann at 330-454-9018 for more information.
• The first annual David Bezbatchenko Memorial Golf Classic will be held on August 31 at Congress Lake Golf Club in Hartville.
