Hey you:
If you have access to the Indians' clubhouse, then tell them that they are in Cleveland they know that so lay off, and now for you well, no hope there.

Dear Bill:
I have no idea what language you speak or write. Do you talk this way on the radio? What are the demographics of your listeners, high school dropouts from Venus?
Sheldon Ocker
Dear Sheldon:
I've heard you on the radio and have read your columns; thank you for hitting the nail on the head. As a lifelong Indians fan ( I'm 50), I've lived through the debacles of the '60s, '70s and '80s.
I understand this is a small market, but thank you for pointing out that one reason for this season's disaster are bad decisions by Shapiro. We were close in '07, had a terrible '08 and an even worse '09, all while the Dolans gave Shapiro $81 million to win.
David Dellucci, Masa Kobayashi, Kerry Wood at $10 million, this year's bullpen all belong to Shapiro. The Indians in '08, '09 and '10 could have/should have been contenders, especially with such a weak Central Division. Mike Bankovich
Dear Mike:
I'm glad you said one reason, because the sinking fortunes of the team are more complex than one man's personnel decisions.

Sheldon:
I have written you many times about Andy Marte and almost puked when I saw your comments. It's almost like the Tribe is writing your pieces for you. How can the Tribe afford to give up on 23-year-olds?
I have used this phrase many times: Can you say Brandon Phillips? The Tribe cannot afford to make mistakes like the Yankees. In fact, I almost got sick that there was an article in your paper the day after Marte had a big game, saying there is open competition at first base next year.

Dear Stuart:
I would rather you not remind me how many times you have written me. Also, as I mentioned before, Marte will be 26 in October. Is 23 the only number you recognize? They start with one, two, three then four, etc.
Twice, you referred to being ill. I would advise seeing a doctor, if there are any in your area. Actually, I can't say Brandon Phillips. Every time I try, my dog asks to be traded.
