By Jonas Fortune
Beacon Journal sports writer

Kent State freshman point guard Randal Holt was cited for prohibitions early Saturday morning on the perimeter of Koonce Hall by Kent State University Police.

Holt,18, was given a court summons for the 2:49 a.m. incident and will be arraigned at 8:15 a.m. Tuesday.

The Bedford native, and graduate of Glenville Academic Campus in Cleveland, was suspended indefinitely by the team Sunday for violating an ''unspecified team rule.''

Holt is averaging four points per game in the four games that he has played in this season (18.8 mpg).

How long will this "Suspention" last?? Like all the others KSU has handed out about 15 minutes. Now he can still play! Comon KSU do the right thing. Enforce the rules make an impression on the kid and the team. Make it hurt.

Gotta love all the Kent bashers. Cry, cry, cry, cry, cry, cry. Whaa, whaaa, whaaa, whaaa, whaaa. Complain, complain, complain. When you`ve been as successful as Kent athletics have been everyone will take a shot at you. Hey Akron, peace and love.

UA...after what's happened on our campus this last week because of UA thugs, I think you've lost the right to ever, ever call any of us "thugs" again. Clean up your own yard before you go complaining about someone else's.

kentsucks

Posted 11:35 AM, 11/24/2009

nah, you're wrong Flashfan...Cant's basketball program is full of thugs and your university once threw bags of urine and rocks at enlisted men. Add that to your shameful booing of Army recruits being sworn in at the 2008 MAC Championship and you have a classic example of what's wrong with Cant State.

If UA suspended their players everytime one got arrested for an alcohol violation there would be no athletic program. See at UA they believe in the hush hush method. UA just gets the kid an attorney and controls the media

Underage drinking. Must have been wasted!! Never happens at Akron U!!

Nahhh! Not at Akron! C`mon you guys from Kent. They`re all squeaky clean kids like their former quarterback, their lineman, their athlete who took pot shots at police, the two "Akronites" who beat that kid to death. Truth be told there are enough mean spirited "kids" to go around any college campus. For example, UAE, SKI, Kentsucks.

Nice try UAEngineering....

I do remember a starting QB for Akron getting the hook this year for reasons still unknown.

Wise man once said... "Watch where you point your finger, it may just be in a mirror."

TonyZ beat me too it, but I was going to ask, what was the UA QB suspended for, again, oh that's right the U hasn't said why. An exemplary institution as well, where faculty get DUI's and time off work.

The word around the university is the QB was stealing his teammates text books and selling them back to the bookstores for money
